Can you ask too many questions?

I've just blocked a potential buyer as she just asked too many questions! When would you draw the line and see the buyer as too much hassle?
First of all she asked if i could hang onto it (its my dd's pram) for 4 weeks until they move nearer. I agreed stupidly!
Then i get asked if i have a BIN price
I say not really but welcome to offers
Doesn't want to offer but wants a BIN price so i say no will wait the auction out.
Then i get asked for more detailed pics of the wheels! I've already got 3 pics on the listing.
I get told that they only really want the chassis of the pram so would i sell seperatly!
Then i get asked how old it is, when i bought it, was it second hand when i bought it and has the seat been in any accidents!
Most of this is in the listing. So i've decided her bid isn't worth it as i reckon she'd be picky anyway. It's a second hand travel system only worth about £50, for me to hang onto it for 4 weeks and go to this much trouble selling it.
I've got a very detailed description in the listing with numerous pics and listed any faults and condition of everything. Perhaps they are desperate for it but they wont be able to bid now, should i just ignore them?
These messages have been 3-4 a day for the last 3 days!

If someone is that much work I always block them. They rarely turn out to be satisfied buyers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes thats way too many questions.
Surely she would ask about condition, age etc, before asking for a BIN?:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

I've blocked people for less than that before, and agree that those I have tolerated (in the early days) went on to become very problematic customers.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
ive also blocked people who were just too much hassle...i had one lady i offered a second chance offer to,she said she wanted it but couldnt pay for a few days-fine,didnt buy it in the 3 days i gave her then emailed me the day she wanted to pay asking where the listing was after i emailed her telling her she needed to 'buy it now' before the offer closed....ive also blocked people who have clearly not read the listing.0

Phew thanks i'm glad you'd have all done the same i'm never usually quick to block potential bidders as i want their bids obviously lol
Starting to get the hang of weeding the potential problem buyers out before they get to bid.0 -
Too many and very silly questions are all sensible reasons to block bidders. Yes we all want to sell our items but problem buyers can end up costing you more. Luckily most buyers are fine.0

I once bought a tent from an ebayer in Dover (I am in Huddersfield) and before buying it I asked them if they would hold onto it until I did my next tobacco run (I do a couple a year) and they agreed. So I bought it, paid with Paypal, left feedback and collected it about 4 months later (winter time).
This was a specific tent which rarely came up on ebay and it was the right price (£500 tent and I paid about £80!)
So sometimes it can seem a silly question but they were happy and so was I.0 -
Lo and behold i then get another message this morning
I just tried to put a bid in but it said you had blocked me from bidding. Can I just asked if you have meant to block my account or whether this is just an accident?
starting to feel like i've got a stalker, i am so glad i blocked before she bid :rotfl:

isn't there any way you can block messages from them as well.
Good job you blocked them before they bid, but I probably would have deleted the bid anyway.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090
