Usually they quote "upto 15gig" meaning they are covered if you get less than 3gig. Your probably best asking in this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=69 you might find members on there using this service.

I have an Orange contract phone with 3G internet access and a "Three" dongle. Speed wise, Orange is a joke and "Three" is as fast as my parents broadband (they're on 2MBit as they live in middle of nowhere). Three have better coverage as well.0

The packages he's talking about are the amounts he's able to download, not the speed. If he wants to download 15GB he can. It's not an up to.
Best bet's to find out who's fast where you are and go with them. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
It Depends on your location (3 has better coverage in Scotland than down south.)
I'm near Glasgow and get perfect 3G signal strength with "3"
Also if you put the sim in an unlocked mobile you'll get skype + Twitter access for free!!
Not sure how the free skype / twitter work with the USB dongle since I only use mine in an emergency...Laters

I travel a lot for my job and I was sick of paying a fortune for hotel internet so I took out a Three contract about 19 months ago for 18 months at £15 per month (via Quidco got a chunk back up front). Just as the contract was ending they offered me a "free" Dell Netbook if I took out a further contract for 18 months at £15 a month so i did my sums and worked out they wanted about £7 a month to keep me, I offered £3 and we settled on £5.
I really don't need a Dell netbook as I work for a PC vendor....this laptop has an internal 3g sim slot which is great I hate dongles...
I have been really happy with the coverage, rarely had an issue except when very far off the beaten track and I only use it in hotels ( like now where it's £12 to get minimal access ) as many services etc have BT Openzone to which I have free access from my home Internet connection.
have a haggle it's amazing what you can get...0 -
For your own sanity avoid 3.
I used to have two 18 months contracts for MMB. One for myself as I go all around the country and one for my sister (got 50% discount) who used it at home only. Prior to 3 I had a T-Mobile MMB contract, but when it was due for renewal they would not reduce the cost (in line with new customer offers) or give me a new modem so I went to 3.
I will agree the signal in Scotland is better than anywhere else as I move around that not much use every where else. Currently using T-Mobile (3G smart phone) , O2 (MMB) and Vodafone (MMB, work) I would recommend these three.
Another thing I found 3 roam onto Orange when these is no 3 signal. That works fine for mobiles I understand but they stopped it for MMB six months before my contract was up, so I was finding myself with no internet access in a non 3 area, at least with the other networks you stay on the same network and the network signal drops down to EDGE or GPRS, slower but still usable.0
