Please help me with returning my new Orange phone

I bought an i-phone on orange yesterday from the store and i've not even opened it yet. I rang t mobile to cancel my contract but they can offer me a much better deal compared to what i have with orange. The only reason i didnt renew with t mobile is because carphone warehouse told me they would only offer me £99.99 off a handset.

Can i return the phone to the shop and cancel my contract?

I would imagine that, as with any other kind of purchase, you have a certain period of time within which you can cancel the contract and return the handset. Check your contract details, it should all be in there. :D

You have not opened it so a manager may allow a return, tell them you just been told redundancies are coming up and it would be unwise to commit at this time as its not looking good. If the contract dont get paid in the first few months sales commissions are lost :)
If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
    If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:

Places like cpw and p4u normally allow something like 7 days to change your mind. It'll all be explained on your receipt.

sorry I disagree there's usually no cancellations in a change of mind situation now, I don't work for CPW but as far as I'm aware the policy is the same for them, no cancelations unless bought online
worth checking with them only they can tell you for sure

Stores do not offer a return or exchange unfortunately, even if the goods haven't been opened.

Yeh to many people used their phones and changed their mind meaning the handset was now a recon handset thus losing them money so it became to expensive.

T-Mobile have now merged with orange anyway. I would speak to carphone but I doubt they will be able to take it back.

If it was purchased online or over the phone you can return it under the distance selling regulations however if it was puchased in a store you have no right to return and can only apeal to their goodwill
