I rang the o800 No for the Energy savings Grant and it was Abbey home Improvements who they put on to me. On their Glossy brochure they show logos advertising being a member of Fenza, Glass and Glazing Federation and another Logo membership. I have since found out they do not have these memberships and are unable to supply a Fenza Certificate on completion of the job leading to difficulties when or if you decice to sell. This will cost money when that time comes. I think the Firm advertising Energy Saving Fund and Abbey are the same. Good job but no legal FENZA received on completion0

Energy Saving Fund and Abbey work together but even though they state on brochure that they are a member of FENZA (Certificate needed by law to sell property) they are not members0

Had the same experiance, called the energy savings fund, arranged for the windows to be fitted. Fitters did not show up as arranged, we had to call abbey home improvements to ask where they were - apparently they had called in sick & they loosely suggested that they would fit the windows the following morning (today) someone was supposed to be calling us back & didn't. We called the ESF and they assured us that we would be contacted straight away, no further contact was made by them or abbey0

Abbey Home Improvements/ Abbey Home Solutions/ Abbey Windows North ltd fitted my windows. [text removed by MSE Forum Team]They were unprofessional from the beginning. There surveyor missed a complete 2.4*1.2mtr window off for the manufacturer. My house only has 8 windows! Then they didn't turn up on the start date. No phone call. Turned up day after. They were quick and tidy but, when they had gone some windows had to be forced closed, the front door casing was bowed and the french doors were catching. I called them and arranged for them to do the snagging jobs. my wife waited in 3 days, each time no call. Two young kids get very bored! Finally arrived and blamed front door casing on manufacturer, made there excuses and left. More calls they came back, hit windows and french doors with a mallet. Also a gap was left between frames and lintel, big gap filled with white silicone. My windows are oak coloured. No return since then despite several phone calls. DO NOT USE THIS [text removed by MSE Forum Team] COMPANY!!!! Save yourselves the stress.0

Abbey Home improvements and Energy Savings Grant are one and the same. Their brochure stated Fenza registered but as I found out, they were not registered. They moved out of the Warrington Site and I tracked them down to Kirby Industrial Park, Unit 20 as all their landline numbers were just ringing out. It seems the partners Les Holmes and Craig Evens of Craig Evans Constructions were the directors and they had a fall out. CEC were the Company who had the Fensa but refused to supply them to customers whom he had dealt with under Abbey. I eventually referred the matter to Knowsley Trading Standards who contacted Les Holmes who in turn asked the Knowsley Council to inspect my windows so he could obtain a Regulisation Certificate. Luckily, the windows were a good job and the man from Building Regs dept came out but said Abbey had not paid the fee so the certificate couldn't be released. Trading Standards have just found out that again, they have dissapeared from the Kirby Industrial Site and all numbers are ringing off. I'm lucky, as, if I pay the fee to the Council, I can obtain my certificate and the job is good. But if anyone out there are in awe of this Company then I implore you to ring the Trading Standards at knowsley Council.
There may be lots of others in this position but unless they know they are not alone, nothing legal with T.Standars can be done0 -
