Please note there is no problem when you can't flush toilet paper! Same applies in Turkey and never an issue so please don't be put off.

Agreed we went to the San Giorgio last year, Kefalonia is definately the place to go, relatively cheap, totally unspoilt, plenty of history. Hotel really friendly, though if I were you I would try and get a deal with food included as actually with euro being as it is we ended up spending the same again on food, if you pay for your food upfront and get tired of it you have the option then of maybe going out somewhere posh one night. Iloved it so much im going back....hopefully.
