This is a great thread! Can I make a suggestion though? Instead of having one long magazine thread, how about creating a new on every month (there's a newspaper one every day) with the month of the Magazine in it? So this thread is for all 'October' Magazines.

Reason being, those on subs get the mags early and some shope aren't very good at updating stock so we need to be clear what issiue it refers to.

Thanks everyone for all there hard work, I've done v well with magazines in the last fortnight thanks to you lot!

In most tescos you can use one of each type of voucher per shop so long as it isn't too high a proportion of the total. Some stores have strict rules, some don't mind if half your shopping is coupons.

I recommend the normal tills, choose a young male cashier ;) (second choice a young female, very very very last resort a middle aged lady!!!!!). Just ask, when handing over your clubcard at the end, 'could you scan any of these coupons for me please?' If asked if you bought any of the items, cheerfully say 'no but I thought Tesco policy is to accept some anyway, is that OK?'

I find the self-scans to be more likely to be overseen by a jobsworth person who will stop you using too many coupons, and you will feel flustered trying to shove them in unnoticed!.

Today I went back to a Tesco store I don't know well, where last week the young chap on the till took any coupons I handed him, I assumed that must be their store policy. No, the old bag on the till today said just one coupon!!

I would have taken ALL your coupons, honest :D
  • Not so much of a code more a tip, but I work for one of the major subscription companies, and a real tip is when you renew a sub, always ask is that the best deal when quoting your renewal price, because pound to a penny we have cheaper prices on the systems
