Important update re the Asda magazine out now............

THIS has just been posted on Bob's about the 50p voucher I mentioned on the last page of this thread:

Tried to use this in Asda today and it took £4.50 off my shopping, eagle eyed cashier spotted it immediatley and cancelled it off and gave me it back saying she couldn't take that much as it was only a £30 shop.

Who wants to be the first to try at Tesco (they won't know about it yet)?! ;)

    Hello Coupon Mad

Have spent ages this morning trying to find this post ... ahhh at last

I do not go to Asda as my nearest is miles away ... but i have a friend who does ... trying to initiate her ... if i'm right you prop her eyelids open with match sticks and hold up coupons and repeat the phrase .. "Money Off .. No Purchase" don't u? ....:rotfl:

Sorry ... back to my point ... I have asked her to pick up a few Asda mags when she is next there ... are they monthly or weekly free mags? ... and will Asda only accept their magazine vouchers if you purchase the product itself?

    Many thanks in anticipation ....

.... PS ... read your other post about using them in Tesco rather than Asda ... Thank u

... PPS ... MBN you do get up early!

I subscribe to PRIMA and they don't send the free gifts to subscribers. They're only available if you pay full price for the mag at newsagents etc. But you do get the pattern which non-subscribers have to send for and cost £1 I think.

I now have getting on for 2 years worth of patterns which I have no use for. Perhaps I'll sort them out and flog 'em on e-bay :rotfl:

Thanks for this. I was going to have a sub using some Tesco clubcard vouchers but if you dont get the free gifts its not worth having a subscription.

I wonder if its the same for Gardeners World magazine? Again this is one you can have with your Tesco clubcard vouchers but if you dont get the fre seeds/bulbs etc it is not worth having
    regards

Sorry if this has been asked before. New to Sainsbury's mag (dp went shopping there yesterday and even he commented on how expensive it seems, but he's used to me coming home with half price shopping from Tescos ;)

It's quite a good mag (can't wait to try some of the chocolate recipes) but we won't be dashing back cos of the prices!

I have used many of the Sainsburys coupons from the latest Magazine in Tesco ... but only some cashiers will accept them ... I would say I have been turned down 1 in 4 times ... but 5 mags later I have saved about £35 in these alone so far ....

Do not forget the Filletti coupon on Page 4 of the current mag & the £1 off G&B Chocolate on the sample stuck to the front page ...

I have found it best to mingle in with other coupons and turn them all so that the barcoded side is showing ... as they state Sainsburys clearly on the other side ...

    Hope you do well ...

PS ... the new Sainsburys monthly mag is due out on November 8th ... and I have found if you go in the evening of the night before they readily give away an left over old mags to customers FREE! .... Even better

    Hi LittleBill :)

I like getting up early because I'm more alert in the morning, and I use my 'early' energy in order to give my best shot with my research. I love mornings, honestly :j

I feel a bit like a bear waiting for hibernation at the mo' ... I miss the sun

I suffer from bouts of insomnia ... and it's funny how much stuff you can get done in the middle of the night!

Roll on the shortest day ... its down hill from there ...

May I ask ... What or whom do you research?

The BBC mags are usually pretty good with regard to sending out the free gifts, I always get the gift with both Olive and Good Food. I haven't had gardeners world for a couple of years but it always used to come with the free gift.
