  • hi there everyone. another newbie here but one who is learning fast and become obsessed (according to DH!!).

Picked up a flyer today for GLAMOUR MAG SUBSCRIPTION - whereby you can get 6 issues for £9 - and still get the free davidoff cool water (30ml). The ref for this offer is 2882 for new subscribers until 30th June. Just thought i'd share for those of us who only want to spend £9 rather than the £18 as per the details on the first page!

It also says on the flyer that you can cancel at any time - do people do this? Is it as easy as subscribing paying £9 (It says via DD) and then cancelling once you get your free gift??? many thanks

    Hi :)

Most people cancel as soon as payment has been taken, simply by cancelling the DD online. I always write an email to the magazine though, telling them that I intend to cancel the DD, and asking them to cancel my subscription, and to acknoweldge the receipt of my email notice. I've never had any problems yet, usually I get a short email back stating that my subscription has been cancelled - and that's it. :j However, I never take out subscriptions where in the (very ) small print it says 'minimum 12 month non refundable contract applies', I think these are tricky, and I'm too chicken to try them out. :o

I've read that sometimes there have been problems with receiving the 'free' gifts (people received replacements which were not as good as the original offer, or worse, they didn't get any gift at all). This has never happened to me until recently, with the She subscription gift, which I still haven't received .

    HTH :)

I still havent got Easy Living:mad: MBN, i got the gift before they took my money, so for that they are ok, but so slow otherwise:mad:

Just sent off an email, got sent a link to this website in the meantime, hope it helps someone else too. https://www.subscription.co.uk/help

This is really putting me off subscribing, although took out Prima subs with Tesco points and get the free patterns:T plus it arrives a few days before it hits the shops. Prima came with the free tips supplement, so i hope this means they come with the free gifts too.

    Hi
Just to let you know I phoned because I hadn't recieved this months either and was told that it was me and a 1000 others - problem with delivery but they had all gone out and should recieve them in the next few days - true to word I recieved mine yesterday. They are normally really good at delivering on time if not before in my experience and I think it's a great mag!!

Just a quick note to add that there is an excellent thread for magazine subscription offers only, on the Shop but Don't Drop board:
