LG KU990i can't get pics off phone
I recently changed phones to the LG KU990i which has a decent camera so I have taken loads of pics BUT I can't work out how to get them off the phone.
I don't see anything in the instruction booklet saying how to do it and there is no disc with the phone to download the pc suite. I have looked online for advice and have seen that I should go through the USB connection mode menu but it then tells me to put in a memory card. I have no idea what I need to do now and I need the pics off the phone
Does anyone have this phone and know how to do it that could talk me through it step by step?

you can download the lg pc suite 3 from here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K60656S0 you dont need it to move photos off, but you need it to sync your phone, use it as a modem etc
insert a memory card, and move the files from storage on the phone to storage on the memory card, just choose the photo and under the menu choose move and place it on the memory card.
You can change the storage setting to store on the memory card by default by going to phone settings > memory menager > primary storage settings and changing it to memory card
go in to phone settings > connectivity > USB connection mode and choose mass storage
plug the usb cable in and connect to the computer and your screen will go black and say its connecting then connected.
you should get a box flash up on your computer asking if you want to open or view the files, choose open then you can just copy them to your computer0 -
I don't have a memory card and can't see anywhere on the phone to insert one. The pics are on the phone memory and there is no where else to put them, are there any other ways to get them off the phone. I am using windows vista which seems to be another stumbling block. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

I think that is the only way to do it, I havent got a viewty anymore so cant try any other way but I remember when you plug the phone in your computer wont see the phone memory as memory.
A memory card goes under the battery, if you remove the battery just to the left of the brass connectors theres a little slot where a micro sd card goes. These are fairly cheap, I will send you a code where you can get a 2gb micro sd for £2.61
If you have a bluetooth dongle like THIS
Then you can send then over bluetooth to your computer

Thanks for all your help. I have had a look and there is a wee slot so I will get a memory card and get the pics off the phone. I am not very technologically minded and although there is a bluetooth button on my laptop it doesn't do anything when I flick the switch so perhaps I need a bluetooth dongle to make that work. Bloody hell I feel more like 103 than 33 with my lack of knowledge with new fangled technology!

It doesn't work, nothing appears on the screen even once it has loaded the software. Are you using vista? From what I have read online, there appears to be a compatability issue with vista. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
