They are just a shambles. On their main pages they say you get up to eleven email addresses for you £1.50. Once you click through it is strangely reduced to five.

Following on from my last message I just today (16/08/2010) received another email from BT Yahoo telling me that the monhtly charge has increased and this time the message actually states 'monthly charge' and so there is no question that the price has gone up.

The new monthly charge stated in the message is £3.97 which is a 260% increase in cost versus the £1.50 price I was previously charged per month.

I originally decided to pay the small cost to stop the pain of having to change email addresses etc but I am now thinking again whether the new price is worth it. I could understand it if I was a super heavy user but I simply am not and to make matters worse the original BT website concerning the cost and details of the BT Yahoo Premium Service
    ( www productsandservices bt.com / consumerProducts / displayTopic.do?topicId=26502 ) still states that the cost is £1.50!

I plan to contact BT with regard to why the cost has increased and also on what basis the costs are calculated as I now wonder how my last charge (see may last post) of £2.47 was calculated after all. If\when I have further details I will post them here.

In the time you will probably spend trying to get some sense out of BT you could sign up for Gmail (10 minutes) and change your email addresses on the relevant accounts. then one group email to your contacts and job done. Couple of hours work?
Then you can change your ISP as often as you like without problems.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
