Downgrading Sky package

Currently we have Sky World along with multi-room but we're looking to downgrade to just one entertainment pack and 1 movie pack.

Does anyone have any tips for trying to get the best deal out of Sky? Should we say we're thinking of leaving for Virgin/Freeview before saying we want to downgrade?

Thanks for any help.

you go to customer services first, just tell them you're leaving - they will put you though to customer leaving / retention, they will ask why, just say too expensiv and better deals out there, they will then make an offer, refuse first offer , then up to you. by the way are you still in a running contract?

I rang to downgrade and got 20% off Sky World for 6 months.

The six months is up at the end of August, so will be calling them later this week to downgrade. Going to scrap sport, movies, music and the lifestyle channels.

Remember that while many do get offered a deal Sky son't have to offer you anything and there are many instances where they have just said OK and cancelled it at your request. Nevertheless it is worthwhile doing especially if you have been with them for years

Although if they do not offer a discount you will not be forced to cancel.

Just tell them that you need some time to think about it and get off the phone.
