Of course I can use eBay without using PayPal ............ you obviously missed the 'point' about paying the postage .......

No, if you don't use paypal you can't sell. It is immaterial how you pay for your postage.

No paypal = no ebay selling

Most of us have waited years for Mr Broker to support his argument, that's why no one else is really joining in here. We get this regularly every few months.

Apparently if you keep saying the same thing over and over again and link to sites that say the complete opposite you can win an argument. The fact is that very few regulars actually see these posts as most have him on ignore.
I know, I'm sorry. Occasionally you have to believe that something will filter through;)

Anyway I better go, my Paypal shift starts in 20 minutes, I just hope they earn interest on my salary:p

But Paypal admit to gaining interest on the funds they place on hold!

    As the CNN cite confirms.

    Why pretend otherwise??

Perhaps he has mine on ignore as he doesn't appear to have read any of them. I will follow your advice though.

He doesn't read anyones. He just keeps repeating the same thing over and over. Working on the theory that if he says it enough it will come true.

    It is true.

Still wondering why PayPal freezes customer funds for any reason they can think of? You guessed it. They make money off of your money to this very day.

"We invest the balances in most of our customers' accounts in short-term money market and money market equivalent securities..".
PayPal also pools customer funds in bank account under PayPal's own name."

IN THE USA, I await the link to Paypal in the UK admitting this.

"PayPal does earn interest on balances in other currencies. As an international payments provider, PayPal is standardizing its cash management process to be consistent across all geographies and currencies. Therefore, effective January 19, 2006, PayPal will have the option to earn interest on U.S. Dollar balances (other than balances in the PayPal Money Market Fund). This change will not affect the manner or timing in which PayPal processes your payments. PayPal users in the U.S. can have the option of earning a return on balances held in their PayPal accounts through participation in the PayPal Money Market Fund."

I must admit I do not like Paypal, find their fees and customer service are awful! That is why I have now stopped selling on ebay and I hardly ever buy anything on their now either. Ebay should not force people to use Paypal to sell, I think that's unfair but something they can do and get away with it.

I think what you have misunderstood is that you MUST offer Paypal otherwise you cannot sell on Ebay. The buyer has the right to chose and may chose other methods if you offer them. But Paypal has to be offered.
