    Vista, Firefox. Page takes ages to load, if it does at all. Randomn avatars missing. Duplicate postings. Just generally really slow.

    Windows 7, IE 8. Site running slow and have had several messages telling me that "this webpage can't be displayed / found" - only happens if I click on links. (ie, click on thread, or a board)

    I am surprised that he did not even pass comment.

    The staff seem to have mostly given up replying, either to posts or PMs.

    3 PMs in a couple of years to someone Martin himself once asked me to contact about feedback and interesting new developments - no replies.

    Find incorrect figures quoted for government foreign aid, reply by staff member with the source they used, but then produce links to Hansard and the official government figures, no correction.

    Point out that VAT should have been added to produce updated regulatory prices for mobile phone roaming in Europe, article gets edited, but no PM reply to say thank you.

    They're just busy, and I'll risk Martin's wrath for unfortunately sounding rather more critical than I mean to be, but on the other hand how long does a small amount of courtesy take, and when do people who have been rebuffed give up trying to be helpful the next time?

    Sorry to sound a tad rude here guys, I know MSE is providing a great service normally, the last time I checked this site and its forums are provided free of charge for everyone to use. So putting up with a weekend's worth of disruption is no big deal. So lay off the demands for something to be done as if you're all paying for the privilege.

    I think we're all just expressing our surprise at the problems that we are having, which are unusual for MSE, in the appropriate section of the forum - "Feedback". And MSE Martin has since popped in to acknowledge our comments and request further information about the faults that we are experiencing.

    Can you please report what operating system and browser you are on, what the problems are and when it started to help us find out.

    OS = Linux
    Browser = Firefox 3.6.6
    Problems = Intermittent slow page loads, or even complete page hangs.

    Going back to the issue of slow loading, it's loading slowly here:

    Google Chrome
    Windows XP

    Which points to me as Martin is suggesting, one of the servers is playing up.
