    afternoon all!

been up since silly o'clock and did a carboot - made nearly £50 so am pleased with that as it was a load of carp that had been sitting in the shed for ages:T:D might have to have a nap soon as I'm rather sleepy now.

WM is on its second load - first is dry and waiting for the ironing fairy(me that is) house clean and tidy.
Pork loin slices for the chaps for tea, HM cheese and potato pie for me.
We had some of our strawberries yesterday with cream and a meringue - lush!

PP - am very jealous of your DD getting to meet Louie Spence - I think he's great!:D hope you are in and out of hospital quickly so you dont miss out on the weddings x

Wow, busy day, walked miles around Hollowell Steam Fair. Heavy horses doing great things, every sort of steam engine chuffing away, owls and ferrets, hundreds of stalls, alpacas. Recommend it!

I thought T4 On The Beach was next week, we got to Weston and realised it was today  Busy busy busy and LOUD. We had to drive around for ages to find a parking space. Still, we ate salty chips on the beach, the pier is nearly finished and we had a ride on the Weston Wheel (like the London Eye but a bit smaller, 40 metres high I think).

    Hiya everyone,

today has not been good. Been feeling poorly and exhausted (me and OH coming out of a bad patch, neighbours from hell, and running round after 2 boys on my own)! Even fell asleep for ten mins this afternoon. The worst think is I started to cut DS2 hair without the guard on, then starting sobbing cos I feel like a bad mum as he has a bald bit that sticks out a mile, even DS1 noticed it! I was so sure the guard ws on but I've been in such a daze. Ds2 has no idea though! I then proceeded to clean the floor with vanish in stead of spray bleach!

Have blitzed the bathroom though and had a heart to heart with OH he gonna start helping more - we both got big families but no one seems to offer to help, there a big gap between me and my siblings, 2 of them are grandparents and one of my nephews is only a few years younger than me. They seem to have forgotten how much I helped tham when I was younger. Looking forward to the boys bunk bed coming tomorrow they will have some space to play in their room.

Made lots of cakes for treats and lunchboxes and bought my first xmas present at a car boot (went after an arguement to calm myself down!), a Ben 10 jigsaw still sealed for 50p!

Sorry for the moan - hope everyone is okay, take care xx

Moan away Lindy-Loo hope it helps a bit. I remember feeling utterly swamped when the twins were small and their dad was a waste of air and no help at all.... Just hang in there and don't sweat the small stuff! So he's got a bald patch....tell him its a solar panel ;)

    Evening all,

Up early for me this morning, took up two pairs of trousers, one for me, one for OH, went out for breakfast, then to Sunday market...not much there really, got 3 pairs of heavy gardening gloves for €5, enough potatoes for 3/4 days, think that my own will grow more if I leave them for a week or 2.

Made my best bread ever the other night by putting machine on timer before I went to bed...will do that again.

Went for a short walk with Kerry and OH...my new fitflops are very comfortable.

Picked more than a kilo of redcurrants will put them in freezer as have enough jam for a while. Am thinking of buying a lamb from a local farmer for €140....rarely buy lamb now as it is so expensive...legs alone in butchers would cost €45/50 so think it will be worth while, will try to keep myself from cooking it more than once a week.

PP...good luck with consultant appointment, hope you make it to the weddings.

Happy birthday Ms Honeybee...you are probably asleep now but the thought is there!

Still need to water greenhouse and some bits in garden, we had some rain to-day but earth is so warm it dries up as soon as it touches ground. Tomatoes and courgettes are doing well in greenhouse and tomatoes, beans, beetroot, lettuce, onions, cabbage and potatoes are doing well outside. One apple tree seems to have no apples but the others seem to be cropping very well...its been windy over the last couple of days, might look for windfalls to-morrow to make some mint jelly, love it so don't feel I can wait until later, especially if we are going to have some lovely lamb.

Welcome Caroline Jane....you will like it here.

Lindy loo....sorry its been such a carp day for you....hope that it has improved by now.

Hugs to all who are sad or depressed, and to those MIA

    Evening all

Been at the caravan all weekend, then home this afternoon and have been weeding and tidying the garden. The rain has not materialised here as far but it is getting very windy! Hope it doesn't affect my tomato plants too much, as we have lots of them in pots (tumblers) fixed to the fence to save on room but they will be more vunerable to the wind there, there are lots and lots of green tomatoes on there are the moment just waiting to ripen, so fingers crossed. Picked the last of the cherries off the minature cherry tree in the garden, so we have had 2 bowls full - they were lovely and sweet!

Had a BBQ tea tonight with salad (yum) Have taken a gammon joint out of the freezer to put in the sc tomorrow, think we will have that with new potatoes and cabbage.

Haven't read the thread properly yet, so hugs to anyone who needs or wants one.

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend

    x

    Evening
We all had a wonderful day at my sisters, mum and Nephew loved their pressies and we ate and drank loads. Home very late.

Up early this am and went to the gym. Golly I am beggining to hurt now esp my left shoulder, I think once youve injured yourself no matter how careful you are there is always a weak spot!!!!

Lovely day pottering in the kitchen Except my scales battery ranout of steam and my fruity buns didnt work they took all day to rise a fraction, the girls said they would toast them for breakfast. lol:rotfl: but weezls carrot cake was excellent some for lunchboxes and some in the freezer. yummy.

By the afternoon the girls were very tired and DD3 had another hissy fit screaming and carrying on lots of door slamming. nothing to do in our house!!well she is in serious truoble and going to bed etra early for two weeks etc etc

washing and ironing done lovely wind to dry it all sky looks dark and it is super muggy a storm would be nice.

Oh a minor miracle occured today. At sisters yesterday I spilt chutney down my white tshirt:eek: Sis put tshirt in wm with all the expensive whiteners and stain still there so when I got home I felt nothing to loose so I sprayed with my HM stardrops mix ( stardrops, vinegar andfeww drops bleach) I washed it again today and its like the chutney never happened:T:T:T
    big hugs
