If she has managed to get through the IB medicals (of which she will have had several over twenty years), I have no reason to doubt whether her condition is genuine. After all, she has been able to satisfy medical professionals of her incapacity to work, so your opinion does not count.
If your working sister does not receive the same income as your non working sister it is likely she will be eligible for Pension Credits. Sadly ascertaining eligibility for further help does not seem to be your motivation for starting this thread, but rather to have a go at your unwell sister. Maybe you should try to understand your sister's condition, rather than just doubting her?
You should be ashamed of yourself.
O.k my working sister isn't entitled to pension credit, she has been into that, she even pays for things like dentistry, optitions, the only thing she gets free is perscriptions.
As far as my none working sister is concerned the whole family has always given her all the support she has needed and more, you see there are some people who think the world owe them a living and she happens to be one of them whether you like it or not.
Don't have a go at me, all I ask was is it right and is it fair. Like you say she has been convincing the medical board every five years, but then again she is a very convincing person.
I am not and will never be ashamed of myself, I suggest you look at your values a little closer.0 -

She is that convincing a person that she cannot convince you? You are contradicting yourself now!
If your sister has an income that is too high to receive PC then she will not be receiving any less than your unwell sister. Clearly you do not have the full story. Do you read the Daily Mail by any chance?Gone ... or have I?0 -
This is a rant about policy and not about entitlement.
I believe that this thread needs to me moved over DT.
Why is everyone thinks that being disabled in any shape or form means that benefits get chucked at you and that you live a life of luxury (where is the rolling eye smiley gone when you need it
)
Prehaps you need a walk mile in someones shoes. Prehaps my husband. Oh that would be right he can't walk a mile. He is in discomfort the moment he puts his foot on the floor first thing in the morning until last thing at night. He tires quickly and has a dropped foot due to a stroke so that means he is at risk of tripping and falling.
If you feel the policy is wrong rather than waste time and energy ranting on a internet forum. Do something talk to your MP etc etc etc.
Yours
Calley
This is not a rant about policy, this is a discussion about fairness.
I am really sorry about your husband, I know there are millions of deserving people who are ill through no fault of their own like your husband and deserve everything they can get, and no one would dispute this, but it's time the wheat was seperated from the chaff, and I know a lot would agree with that. My sister does not have difficulty walking or standing, she has the energy for late night dancing and the like, I just don't understand why someone who proports to suffer with migraine can be on I.B while others are expected to work.0 -

I do have the full story and seen the paperwork, and she does receive less, you seem to know an awfull lot about the system!!!!!!!!0 -

Sorry it is rant about policy as you saying how unfair it is, that is not what this forum is about.
This forums is about people getting their entitlement not to whinge and moan about how the policy is unfair.
You will find a lot of like minded people over at DT at at least once a week there is some kind of thread bashing about people on benefits.
Also if you are so sure is not entitled then report her for benefit fraud.

I am not whinging and moaning about unfair policy on my non working sister, but I am saying it is unfair on my other sister who has worked.
Neither am I benefit bashing! either the benefits office has got one or both of their pensions wrong.
Don't accuse me of being a benefit basher, you couldn't be further from the truth.!0 -

I'm obviously not getting through to some people, she does not, I repeat does not have more, this is why I think it's unfair and I'm sure all of you who posted your comments would think the same as me if it was your family.0 -

You can't see migraine. I used to get them. I would hullicinate, become ridiculously light sensitive (more than normal) and then get a migraine. No-one would see that I have migraine. The first anyone knew about it was me crying because I was in so much pain.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
