Well, the car passed its mot :j I had 2 new windscreen wipers to pay for, which cost a total of £8, so with the test as well, it cost me £44. Nicely within my meagre budget of £52 :D They plugged it in to the diagnostic computer as well but as it was probably complaining at a lack of oil, which I topped up on my way in this morning, they couldn't see anything else that needed doing, so reset it, and didn't charge me for the test which I was more than happy with. Mind you - I did buy the car from them in the first place, so they ought to look after me as a potential retained big purchase customer in a couple of years!

So, moneywise, not a bad day, and certainly a whole lot better than I feared! Other than that, no money spent.

Students are settled in well, and I have just spoken to the school to say I can have more students in August and September, so hopefully a bit more income will follow - not having a fund to pay for repairs to the car if they were needed today has reminded me that I do need to have an emergency savings pot for sure, and I need to work on getting the money in for that.

Hope you have all had a good day x
