The sore throat never really developed into anything - I think it was more a warning for me to eat more/sleep more/stress less!

Have had a call to say the first student is now arriving at 5, with the second due at 7 - just a bit too much time between the two to sit and wait for the second, so will bring the first one home, show her where things are, then go back for the second one almost straight away!

Considering that the first one was due in at 10.30, I expect she will be shattered and ready for dinner and bed more or less straight away!

V, this particular school pay a daily rate, which is about £13 a day, per student, which doesn't sound much, but works out at about £95 a week per person. Have two of them and it is double the amount, obviously, but not necessarily double the work, as they both need to be taken to the same places for the same activities and excursions.

So far I have 2 students for 2 weeks now, then one student for 3 weeks in August. So it all adds up to be a useful amount to put away for skiing in the winter. And if I get asked to have another in August, I will say yes.

Something easy will be done for dinner when everyone has arrived... I'm certainly not inclined to slave over a Sunday roast today! Temperature outside is still almost 30 degrees!

I think we are getting some rain tomorrow, which is much needed - the breeze has picked up but the temperature hasn't yet dropped - I reckon we are in for one heck of a storm in the next few hours!

First student is here, and seems very nice (so far):D I will be heading out in about 45 mins to collect the next girl, then we can all sit down and sort out who has to be where and when. They have a very full timetable for the time they are here!

Glad the students will take some pressure off your budget at least.

Hope you fit in some time to relax too. We were one of the lucky ones who headed to the beach yesterday - not the hottest day but pleasant enough and DS went for a nice cold swim LOL

Am sure some psychologist would have a field day with that statement!

2nd Student has arrived - and she too seems very nice. I think all will be well. Dinner now cooking and they are unpacking, then prob time for baths/showers and bed as everyone has had a long day.

gally, I hope DD finds something nice - one day when you are in this area, we really should have coffee!
