Well done with all things fitness, OO and se :j
Sea - yes, the mindmapping is from MGs book. 'tis very good
EllieMarie - yes, thumbsucking is very responsive to hypnosis, so if you can find yourself a good local therapist, one session is all that should be needed in my experience! I will add it on the list for the downloads if I can word it right - I need to be careful that I am only doing "guided visualisation" rather than hypnosis on that site....
I have been very good and done my ironing - all up to date. Wonders will never cease!
Now going to have an hour of TV and the laptop and then Night Nurse and an early night beckons.
Thats great news thank you Hypno - if you can I will definately be purchasing, if not.... what qualifications etc should I be looking for in a therapist?0 -

A personal recommendation is obviously the best - if someone you know has had a good session, then that is a really good start. It doesn't have to be for a similar problem, because a good therapist will cover a wide range of issues, and if they can't help you, then they should be able to put you in touch with someone who can.
Otherwise, have a look on the GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register) http://www.general-hypnotherapy-register.com/ and look under your area - if it is for a child, look for someone that specialises with childrens issues.
Don't be afraid to ask for a chat with them first - shouldn't cost anything for that, and it will give you a good "feel" for whether you like them or not as a session won't be any good if you feel uncomfortable.

Thank you so much for such a detailed reply Hypno, how very kind of you. Hope the idea might be useful for you too for a download.
Thinking positive thoughts for a speedy house sale for you, I'm sure it will all work out for you because you are so determined and most importantly you deserve it to x0 -
Thanks guys - the estate agents hadn't managed to get hold of yesterday's couple when I spoke to them this afternoon, so I'm not packing up my kettle just yet! But it will happen, I am sure of that.
Right, have taken night nurse, so off to bed. SM, I hope your cold gets better soon xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi Hypno,
I did have a good look ate the website but the one of the two things I could think about was there - IBS. I did use this technique when I had it and it worked really well. The other thing is different (mild) fobias - I was worried about water, for instance, and I have a real problem with dogs. But I do realise there are limits to how much one could do at a distance.
I was also thinking about the website itself. Have been having these discussions with OH for sometime now - he thinks that he should make his site technically perfect and that it should offer many things (expand). My take is that a website should be visually stunning, elegant with the classical elegance of the 'little black gress', easy to navigate and state clearly what it does (MSE for instance is messy and if it did not already have reputation not many people will take the time to un-earth its tresures). Apparently, any website has less than 18 seconds to impress - this is what the research shows. Have you considered (and is it possible at all) to have fewer words on the site? (This is rich coming from me but...). Have you considered putting clearly on the landing page the three things that will grab the attention and make people stay (and remember the site)? Have you considered who are the 'addicts' (apparently very successful websites make it because they target an addiction; may it be reading, writing, saving and financial health, fitness...)?
Of course I might be wrong about all this and you have considered it and decided against. I wish I can win the debate with OH though and get his site moving - can you make a guided visualisation that helps with misguided stubborness:rotfl::rotfl:?

Thanks for the input FW - I have had lots of ideas from MGs thread too so will work on my list of scripts over the next couple of weeks. Re the site itself, I have nothing to do with that really, as it is the other guys who sort all that out, do the content, get it on google etc. I don't even see what orders are coming in which is probably just as well otherwise I would be pressing F5 every few mins and getting despondent!
So.....scratching and banking next. Have a good day everyone xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hypno - Good morning.
Just wondered if you could supply gift vouchers, where someone buys the gift voucher for a specific one as a present, they pay and hand over the voucher as a present. Christmas is coming, and then it's New Year's resolutions timeOk more admin as you need to hand over the voucher in some form, although I suppose you could do a printable email, maybe offer both options and charge more for the card/postage one.
