llama -even in the height of our summer here, I think opaques have made an appearance, it has been that chilly!

Penny, the Primarni tights are excellent - I am not sure if some of them are actually more expensive brands that have just been relabelled. Definitely worth a look.

It is the number of days that I have pledged to take in a lunch from home to save me buying an overpriced and undertasty sandwich from the city.

So, I have pledged 16 in September, which basically means I have to take in my lunch 4 days out of 5. Also helps with the NSD challenge, obviously, because if I don't buy lunch, I am usually on track not to spend anything at all!

Thats a great idea!:) I try and eat before I go out during the day otherwise I am tempted to buy something to eat while I am out, which is usually the reason I have not achieved a NSD that day:)

    Good morning all :)

When we left the midlands on the 31st there was icey frost on the windscreen at 6am, so we've definitely had some very odd weather this August. It felt more like Autumn/early winter at times. Even had to have the gas fire on despite wearing the extra woolies first.

Moving city/hotel today, got to repack today, it shouldn't take long. So going out for a walk to explore and burn some calories here first before the move.

I liked ZTD's comment about 'interesting lives' - we're definitely in that category :o

I do wonder what it would be like to have a 'normal' lifestyle, I wonder if we'd cope without the adrenaline buzz of dealing with the upheavels.

Hypno - It sounds like you had a good day ski racing, I do think that learning to cope with doing your best whatever, and coping with the ups & downs is an important lifeskill. So well done to your DS & DD and you for their approach.

Macgirl, loved your comments about the grey, and ZTD's reply :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good day, and the toes aren't too painful Hypno.

Have deposited DS at ski club for today's racing, but have had a phone call to say that the paramedic who treated him yesterday after his fall has had a look at his thumb today and thinks it may be broken, so at the end of today's racing (can't stop him racing, obviously!!) I will be taking him to have it X-rayed - oh the joys of a Sunday evening in Casualty!!!

I came home because I need to be productive, so went straight into the garage, and have sorted more boxes, and as a result have another load for the tip in the boot of the car.....I also have a collection of various size ski poles - some broken, some perfectly fine but too small, some without a partner, and some that bizarrely I have never seen before so we have obviously been given by people in the past for the kids to have "if they are of any use". Unfortunately XOH wouldn't turn anything down, so most of the stuff we have got is never going to be used, but I will get DD to pair what she can up, to leave in reception at the ski club with notes saying "free" and then will take the odds and broken ones to the tip later today when I do the inevitable second trip.....

Just having a coffee and toast break......then will get back out there and carry on sorting. Fun!!!

Oww I feel your pain for the trip to casualty. My advice would be bring a good book or 3, as if it's like our A&E all magazines have been binned as an MRSA risk.

I was there twice last month - 3 hours each.......not good.

:T on being so productive - you are getting there :)
  • Well while catching up I have on eye on a childrens tv programme called Gastronauts where they looked at hidden fats and sugars in food:eek:

I thought I knew a lot but it has scared me and ....OMG I Can't bellieve I am saying this but I haved ordered the dreaded Shred to help me with my new diet and exercise LBM:eek:

How many LBMs can one person cope with?

Silly me - I am on Hypno's thread .... of course I can do it.......

It's much better than a saturday night/sunday morning in casualty.
