Not so much a post milestone blues day as a having to deal with divorce can be crappy day.....
It isn't (X)OH who is causing the problem but his lovely solicitor......I need say no more, and will keep such issues away from this diary, but it is just one of those things that is yukky but has to be dealt with in a dignified manner.....
*sigh*
anyway, I no longer feel like painting, and don't feel like running, so will put the heating on and curl up on the sofa with some tartiflette that I am going to make for dinner - nice comfort food.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Ah, Hypno, look after yourself. You've done so much recently that nobody can blame you for wanting a night with your feet up! Dare I ask what tartiflette is though???0

Sorry things are a bit pants Hypno
I've just opened a bottle of wine, so will pour a virtual one for you - hugs xxxx0 -
Hi Hypno, sorry to hear that you are having the "divorce" stresses. It is always the case that no matter how dignified you try to remain when solicitors become involved they just know which buttons to press. After all their earning depend on it. You take some time out tonight and just curl up. It is always good to have a bit of reflection. Tomorrow is another day and you will probably come out fighting when you have recharged your batteries.
Now Tartiflette? that sounds very intriguingSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Sending hugs, sorry to hear about the crappy day. You know you are 'better' than what they throw at you, so well done on the dignified.

Tartiflette is a delicious, filling, calorie laden alpine dish that we have lots of when we ski and occasionally make at home when we need comfort food....
it is basically lots of onions, and bacon lardons (or chopped cheap tesco value cooking bacon offcuts) fried in butter and a bit of garlic, salt and pepper, then put in a ceramic baking dish with layers of sliced potatoes, cream and reblochon cheese, bunged in the oven for half an hour or so.
Unfortunately the cheese can be quite expensive, but occasionally it is on offer so we pick it up then.....and you don't need masses of the cheese as it is quite strong. But considering how filling it all is, it works out reasonably priced.
Some people add a few veggies, but we've never had anything other the onions when we have had it in resort so I tend to stick with the basics.
Having said all that - I got into the kitchen with a severe case of CBA so made a cheese omelette instead :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

I'm disappointed as I had a tarte citron or some other sweet treat in mind. When I read "onions" I though "urghhh" :rotfl:0

Tescos generally stock the cheese - or we have a fab cheese stall on our market that has it too.
And of course we bring loads home whenever we are over there - it generally freezes quite well (although stinks when it defrosts!!).Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
