Went to get jewellry valued today - he said don't even bother til the end of November when things pick up.

Is it worth trying another place? When they buy gold they pay you cash normally. Maybe he's got a cashflow problem especially if people have been selling a lot after their summer holiday spending.

Had an email from my cousin this morning - he has a new baby daughter but she was born 13 weeks early - weighs 0.6kg - just hope everything goes well from now on for them.

Hope everything is going well for your cousin's little one, they will be in for a long slog but if the unit they're in is anything like ours they do amazing things and they will probabally be out for xmas. One thing we did which helped me feel like i was doing something productive was to set up a just giving page for people to donate to the units support group, i titled it under my babays name and populated it with pictures of her. All the bestxxx

That is a lovely idea cocalls - I've also heard of people asking for donations to the relative neo-natal unit instead of Christening gifts etc.

Yes what a lovely idea indeed Cocalls! Glad your little one is home now too. And Surfbabe, congratulations to your cousin's family - that's so small.

STILL not moved up to Shred level 3 yet, been trying to do it for about 4 days, but then work got in the way (I only work 2 days, 4 hours travel on each of them, including 10 miles bike ride, so never feel inclined to do any more exercise when I get home! :rotfl:), and then Mr Daffs got in the way :rotfl: No excuses this afternoon though! :j

Hypno, congratulations on the debt figure and on being in a position to get stuck into the MFI3 challange. Im firmly in the red on that one but really hope to catch up once the debt is gone at the end of the year. Are you still planning to buy a new house once you have paid enough off this mortgage?

Ideally, yes, but in reality I have no idea what is going to happen going forward :(

Can't go into any more on here, but just having one of those days!

Aw, you're having one of those 'post milestone blues' days Hypno. Well, not many more of them to go, so take heart & have the regulatory dodgy hug :grouphug: (or even a dudgy hog as I typed 1st!)
