    Ah, now when I lost several nails after the marathon, I just painted on nailvarnish where the nails should be and it looked halfway decent......

    Not brilliant, granted, but no one is going to be going THAT near to my feet anyway!

    You could always use double-sided sticky tape to put the nails back on if they were...
