glad your all getting baragins
Thanks Caz - I ordered two, but I was upstairs with Miss Wingepants so cba posting from my phone.
After a couple of good nights, it was back to two hours of crying tonight.I think my daughter is the exception to the sleeping in the day = sleeping at night.
She's had a (now rare) nap today, and was so not tired tonight. But she's far too young not to be having a nap?!?!?! Isn't she?
I had to do a kind of CC while I ran downstairs for my card number to pay for the car seats for 2 minutes. She was hysterical when I got back, clinging to me and sobbing like she'd been abandoned for hours.
so he wants to look for a new job (he is also currently on the waiting list for the fire service but with elections/cuts training courses have been postponed - he's effectively passed everything)
but it could be yonks before the fire service do anything....
That's crappy news CAFC.What do you do? Would it be easier for you to find something or OH to find something else?
OH was on the waiting list for the fire service for three years, twice! He had to do all the application and tests again after the first one lapsed. The second one was about to lapse when he applied for the Police instead, luckily he got in but he's one of the last. The government have put the stoppers on that too.
He was incredibly lucky. From his interview/tests group, they did two intakes. OH's in January and the other one was due to start training in July. OH has the last collar number in his training group. The July training group were told in May that due to the new government, their training was postponed until further notice. :eek:Choppy, get one of those highchairs that converts down to a table and a chair, then you will get lots more use out of it, and a chair with a harness to keep her in place at dinner time
Choppy, Although I love my Antilop, DS and DD1 had the wooden ones that changed into a table and chair and they were brilliant and they used them until they were 4ish (when their legs wouldn't fit under the table!). They were Mothercare ones I think, and had no fiddly bits to clean.:beer:0 -

:rotfl: Could you imagine?????You'd have to have all those interviews pretty close together to have not had a job offer from the first ones before the last interviews. And I doubt anyone is amazing enough to get 24 job offers from 24 applications.
I wish I was that amazing! Just one interview and job would do!
MIL has spoken to her local place and they might have a vacancy coming in next few months so hoping she's right and not got the wrong end of the stick.
Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo OH and I have been super organised and been tidying up and sorting stuff out :j In every BB advert we've done a quick burst and got loads done.

3 - V sounds like R and most days she dosnt have a nap and hasnt since about 18 months (ish) we were really struggling to get her in bed before 10 most nights and now she dosnt have a sleep shes in bed between 6 and 7. I thought she was too young not to nap but it certainly works for her! She also climbed out of her cot at an early age just like V and was in a bed from 1. She still donst go to sleep on her own tho - she usually falls asleep on my knee or in my bed and I carry her through.19.6.10 Weight loss 6lb0 -
Aww I missed out on the bargain car seat
Never mind not like we had anywhere to store it, but I woulda got my discount of it too lol.
Choppy - yeay for Xmas eve hamperI already have a noisy xmas book on my wish list at amazon, and purchased pjs in the sale last year, might do reindeer food so we can take some cute pics and I love the sock idea. Is it sad am already getting excited about Christmas? But I think its a lovely tradition and so does OH too.
Well Struggled to get LO to bed and she really wanted to sleep but with her snotty nose she couldnt get comfy and was snuffling away. Anyhoo I did the very not recomended thing and propped her up on the V pillow and she snuggled down and went to sleep after I sang (badly) frere jaque (sp) to her a couple of times. Dont ask why that song, it just makes her sleep!Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Krystal- would Aimee be bothered if C gets her main Christmas pressie now? If not then I would let her have it now and get more use out of it.
Thanks GISI, I'll take a look at those too.
Krystal - I agree with GISI. Would Aimee notice? I guess you'll have to be careful with the wording as she'll wonder why Father Christmas is coming early to Caitlyn and not her. However, she probably won't wonder on Xmas Day why she's got more presents than CaitlynAfter a couple of good nights, it was back to two hours of crying tonight.I think my daughter is the exception to the sleeping in the day = sleeping at night.

Oh bless you, I hope V starts to settle better at night for you (and stops her nocturnal wonderings!). My niece stopped having naps in the daytime at 9 months old . I know I moan about Caitlin only sleeping for around 45 mins each day but it's better than nothing. Saying that, yesterday and last Monday she slept for over three hours. Last Monday was OK because she was still ill and she went to bed with no problems still. Last night, on the other hand, was a different story. We finally put her in her cot at 7:50 and she cried for about 10 minutes on and off, then woke up three times in the night. Lesson for mummy - if she's not poorly, don't let her sleep for longer than two hours, as tempting as it is
Thank you for the advice on the chairs. I don't know why DH doesn't like the Antilop. For £14.99 including the tray, you can't go wrong!0 -

I think we should just set it up for her, I'll need to talk him round though...
I won it anyway£399 playhouse, 12 months old... I got it for £97...
Aimee had stopped all daytime naps by 18months old... She has never needed much sleep...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Thanks PP & Choppy. I'm just finding it strange because J & L both loved their naps, for years! I'm sure they both struggled when they started school because they'd missed out on their lunchtime sleeps. :rotfl:
V has never been very good at napping. Once the newborn stage was over, her naps were only ever 30-45 minutes once or twice a day. Since she's been 1, once a day and the past few weeks once every couple of days.
Unless we're out in the car or pram - when she's asleep before we get to the top of the road whatever time of day it is.
I'm sure she'll get used to the bed soon - and if she doesn't need daytime sleep, there's not a lot I can do about it.:beer:0 -
Yeah, or something similar! I had one of them when I was a dink, and I used to eat my dinner at it til I was about 6-7! I was a skinny minny child though, not sure what happened...
Ha ha, thank you. Decisions decisions...Choppy - yeay for Xmas eve hamperI already have a noisy xmas book on my wish list at amazon, and purchased pjs in the sale last year, might do reindeer food so we can take some cute pics and I love the sock idea. I really wanted to start the traditions for her first Christmas as I love Christmas and want her to love it too.
Reindeer food reminds me - MIL bought some for Caitlin last year and DH put it outside on the patio for her. I saved the bagso can re-fill it this year with oats and glitter.
Can you view this FB album? It's Caitlin's first Xmas and shows some of the traditions we started. I'd forgotten some of them til looking at the pictures again now. Pic 24 is Daddy putting reindeer food outside, pic 6 and pics 21-23 show the Santa's Plate we made at one of those ceramic cafes. It's got her name and date that she made it on the back. I also wrote her a letter from Father Christmas (pic 33) which I've put in her memory box. I'm going to write one each year.
Actually, I think I am sad0 -
Wow Krystal. That's good bargain. Do you have a massive lounge? That would practically take up the floor space in our lounge (along with the bounce n spin zebra, the trampoline, a singing chair, lotty ladybird and the leapfrog learning table...)Thanks PP & Choppy. Caitlin's sleep pattern since birth sounds very similar to V's. So, you're telling me that in a few months, she'll not be wanting any sleep in the day :eek:0
