Lovely pictures PP - that dress is gorgeous, and so is your daughter.
I wish I could make stuff - i'm also a funny shape so shop stuff is bizarre. I have no hope with fitted dresses, the waistband is always up over my ribs, and if it fits my bust and waist I have huge gaping bits where my hips should be. But something that fits my hips would have no hope of stretching around my no-waist.
I'm a funny shape too. Big bust and big hips/bum but a small waist. Things that fit my hips have masses of gaping fabric on the waistband. Things that fit in the waist don't stretch round my bum and hips
That's a lovely pic Tigs - you must be so proud of himHere I go again on my own....0 -

Maybe we need to mix our shapes together, and we might get one perfect one!
I'm very jealous of ladies with waists - I just don't have one.
If you do the vital satistics, my waist and hips are probably the same! No 36-26-36 here for me.:beer:0 -
Ladybird, yeah he's done it a few times but that was when they'd not long lived there so it was a bit more understandable... Although yeah v. unnerving as i have been known to wander round wearing not much... I don't lock the door if DS is wandering in and out tho
Thanks for the Huggies link SB, have printed my voucher :money:
My Zoggs swim ring finally came today, so am gonna have to get myself into gear and take Amber swimming. Although i hadn't even paid the seller cos she'd refunded. Luckily i'm honest, and paid her as soon as it arrived0 -

Just looking for some opinions, I like to have a life plan but currently we've achieved our initial aims so now we need new ones but can't decide how to get there.
Bit of background, we both have good jobs that we like although my boss - who is totally the best boss ever is - leaving at the end of this year so it could be bad after she leaves. We live in a small flat so definitely want somewhere bigger in the future but at the moment need to stay in London for the jobs (already do 45min commute so don't want to move further out unless I change jobs). Erin is signed in for nursery starting at the end of Sept for four days a week, in a really good nursery which is very convenient as it's on our road but at bit steep at £60 per day, which actually is normal for this area. My boss has said to me to make sure that I want to do four days a week as, due to the budget, once I go part time she doesn't see me having any opportunity to go back to full time. So first question, what do people think about working 4 days a week - does anyone do it and does it work out ok? I'm basically loosing £50 a week to have an extra day with Erin (and OH who works odd shift but often has a Monday off).
The next problem is that we want a second child but wouldn't be able to afford having two at the nursery. Do most people take kids out of nursery when they go on maternity with a second child? Wouldn't be able to afford the nursery anyway if not working, just wondering what is normal. So then we are stuck as I wouldn't be able to afford to go back to work but we don't want to be skimping and saving all our lives and I actually have more earning potential than OH. Also worried about the timing of the second child.
Argh, If you have read all this, thank you! I'm just stressing for no reason probably and it will all work out somehow but I like to have a plan and feel a bit lost not having one (it's keeping me awake at night!). I realise this is a very personal choice type subject but I'm interested in hearing anyone's opinion.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Jenny, FWIW I have the exact same dilemma. Can barely afford childcare for Finn as is, but really want baby 2. But can't afford baby 2, because can't afford not to work...I even did a calculation that our outgoings are like 2k (lots of debt repayments there
) and DH makes 1.5k on a good month! At least you guys own ur own place...it's all a bit depressing and wish i could figire out how on earth people do it? My usual strategy of plunging in and hoping for the best is not a good idea here.
So sympathetic ear but no answers. Do other people's DHs just have better jobs or what? B'c i'd love to know how others step down to a single income!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!
