Yes, My boss (CAFC supporter) was saying he was a good player as well.....
Good luck CAFC for tonight although really we are rivals!!!:p
Decent for our level. I'm sure they'll mention it on Soccer Saturday tomorrow as he was one of the programs 'icons' with the 'Lisa will be pleased' when he scored, joke. A couple of my girls met him once when he did an hour or two with the local kids and by all accounts, a thoroughly nice bloke who always had time for people.
Right decision to call the game off though as our players will have minds elsewhere.0 -
Oh yeah totally agree, Southampton pp as well arent they...... my boss just left to go and have a few beers before he goes to LO for the game....Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0

16yo is going to college. She really wanted to go and would miss her friends if she didn't. We think she'll do well in her exams although she worries me most as she's the one with the worst concentration, but we think she's done pretty well.
17yo didn't go to college and doesn't regret it as she's doing NVQ's and things on the job at a playgroup/nursery and a part time job in local shop - combined about 24 hours a week.
I hope Caitlin has picked up. Always a concern and panic sets in when they aren't themselves.
I can remember all my Aunties', Uncles' and Cousins' birthdays (and most of their OH's and childrens' as well - I have quite a few cousins) but with the mass of babies that have been born in the past couple of years to my friends, I'm starting to lose my touch
I'm glad both of your daughters are settled and happy. Must be lovely for you to see.0 -

Yes, their owner died. Not a good week.
That game is on TV tonight. Me and the girls will watch and Lucy will probably fall asleep on me, regardless if the game is a thriller or not!0 -
Hi all,
Thank you for all the get well wishes.
I spoke to my friend yesterday and she came and had a look at her. She thinks it's a reaction to the jabs.
She's a bit better today and her temperature was done to 37.5 this morning, although it has gone back up a little. She was playing a bit this morning, and ate nearly all her lunch. This afternoon she is really tired though.
When I changed her nappy at lunchtime, there was a rash on the back of both of her thighs and her toes were mottled blue. Then I noticed her hands were too. I rang my friend and she spoke to a Dr for me, who said that the blue hands and feet is because she's got a high temperature and her body is trying to cool itself down. The rash is likely to be the measles rash, but if it spreads or I'm worried then to take her in to A&E and they'll have a look for me.
She's been asleep the past two hours on and off, so haven't been able to check her legs but the rash definitely isn't on her torso or arms.
Krystal - glad everything went well at your scan.
MFD - did you hear back from your interview (sorry if you've already said and I've missed it)?
Som - sounds like Tahlie had a great time on Wednesday night. Brilliant that she took a bottle! I wonder if was because you weren't there so she could see there wasn't an alternative on offer.
Caz - glad you finally got your pram!
Bruno - that's so cute of Elijah including his new baby sister when naming you all.
CAFC - I know it's no consolation, but I went through exactly the same thing as you (minus the dog). In my case it definitely stemmed from lack of sleep. Do you get chance to rest at all in the day? I'm one of these people who can't sleep in the day and then C would be up most of the night
NMS - yay to Liam's walking!
Lovely pictures from yesterday everyone.
Does anyone know how long tax credits takes to review everything after you send back the form? The past two payments have been £14-odd for us and I think they may have underpaid us last year, as both of our salaries went down and I hadn't told them. When I posted the renewal form back, I posted a letter seperately and told them all our changes (childcare, salaries, hours we work, etc), but haven't heard anything yet.0 -

Well, at my age, i'm just grateful I can remember my own name
It's nice to see them happy and I know I bleat on, but Lucy's arrival has really seen them grow. Despite my best attempts, I can't give the female perspective as well as a female, so her being here to help with things I tried to help with but couldn't 100%, has been a godsend. I know a couple of them are worried when she has 'her own' baby, she won't want them as much, but I think they know that's not true and I know it's not as Lucy adores them.
I'm off on one again :rotfl: >>>> :silenced:
ETA: - I'm glad C is feeling a little better today. Long may it continue.
Tax credits can be any time really depending on how busy they are/back logs. It's only been two weeks since the renewal deadline, so are probably wading through piles of them.0 -
Ah, that's really nice. It sounds like you've got a lovely family unit now, and it'll be even lovelier when the new baby comes along. Your new baby is going to have a great time with all his/her older sisters.
Thanks for letting me know about TC. I was one of the last to receive my form I think and it would have got back to them about 10 days before the deadline, so it hasn't been a month yet. We're not desperate for the cash, but it would be nice to know it's sorted.
(Although if they suddenly decided they owed us £50k, I would be pleased as it would enable us to buy the house we've fallen in love with but can't afford. I didn't realise that having a baby reduced the amount you could borrow by so much.

Thank you to the GISI fairies who arrived this morning - we'll hopefully use it early next week.
:T Krystal at your not-a-puppy news. I see you SIL can't spell. :rotfl:
I hope everyone else is good. I've had my bangy boy keeping me busy for the past few days, but i've managed to fill in the DLA appeal form and send it off today

MOTM - I'm glad your older two girls are both settled into something...what is 16yr old is going to do at college? It sounds like 17yr old is enjoying her job and her nvq's:)
From what you have told us about lucy I am sure there will be no problems at all about her 'not wanting' your girls once the baby is here...as long as they realise the copious amounts of time she will need to spend with the newborn is necessary and is not a reflection on them at all:)
xx
Hi 3:DUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0
