Sometimes I'm quite good at remembering dates/birthdays/names. Other times, I'm so awful that it's embarrassing.
Wow, you've got a busy time coming up! All good things though, which is nice. What's your 16YO planning do next year?

Caitlin has just woken up, so going to disappear for a while to take temperature, administer Calpol, etc. It looks like the sleep has done her a world of good - she's said more in the 5mins she's been awake than she did between picking her up from nursery at 10am and going to sleep.

I really have become female over the years (not in all senses) I never forget a date for anything. You are so male :rotfl:

16yo is going to college. She really wanted to go and would miss her friends if she didn't. We think she'll do well in her exams although she worries me most as she's the one with the worst concentration, but we think she's done pretty well.

17yo didn't go to college and doesn't regret it as she's doing NVQ's and things on the job at a playgroup/nursery and a part time job in local shop - combined about 24 hours a week.

I hope Caitlin has picked up. Always a concern and panic sets in when they aren't themselves.

Phew, I am making a string of orders of all my stuff so each one comes in under the customs limit :money:

Complicated business - I have IE and Firefox running and am ordering in Firefox and removing things from my IE shopping basket as I go so I can see what I have left :rotfl:

    Edit: SEVEN orders! :rotfl:

MFD since we have a "storeroom" instead of a nursery, I feel there is no problem adding a box or two ;)

Husband is ok with it, my contract is ending in October and since I will be desperately unemployed he sees the sense in doing the shopping now while we have the money and things are on sale.

However, I have forgotten my nephews :o

  • I guess that makes sense should the worst come to the worst SS - hope it doesn't though. Anything on the horizon for you?

You have me looking at that site now though! How much do I need to keep my order under to avoid duty?

Nothing at all MFD, I'll be doing courses to get me into private practice though so hopefully a year or so and I'll be able to start bringing some money in.

    I think it's £35 in the UK.

I've been poking about on dealextreme.com for an hour and have filled my basket with things that everyone I buy birthday gifts for will love - so I can completely sort 2011's birthday gifts for £64ish. Am I being ridiculous?

Wasn't that the website that the 'adult toys' were on on HUKD? ;)

Glad the meet went well, gutted I missed it

CAFC - Huge hugs. I know it gets said alot but it does get better :)

    I am  right now.
IL's keep banging on about coming here for J's birthday cos BIL has no holiday left, they don't understand that I want to see my family as well. So I ended up telling MIL that I was doing a party on the Saturday to get the point across that it wasn't about them. Cue MIL & FIL ringing OH saying 'where's the party?' 'whats the plan?' 'we'll buy the cake' yadda yadda yadda.
Cue Text from me - Invites with details will be sent out soon, everything is in hand so don't worry.

They always interfere :( I know thye just mean well but it's so :mad::mad::mad:
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
