MOTM, I used to love watching the channel discovery home and health when i was pregnant as they have lots of baby/labour programmes, theres a few other channels to but think they're all in the same section on the sky menu so you'll prob see them as you're scrolling through.0

Now that's something that gets my back up and it would happen in the UK too.
I know we have a baby channel somewhere on Sky. May check that with Lucy. Can't do any harm.
OH NO!! I rarely watched any daytime TV even when I was at home but I remember very clearly seeing a close-up of a man demonstrating how to check your testicles properly on This Morning!! I had only just flicked over and got the shock of my life!!
Which reminds me - have all your menfolk checked their testicles after our recent scare - a young mans disease remember!
FWIW I would always refuse to watch a birth, I still would now in fact.
Although you may find that the baby channel is Baby TV - TV for babies!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Her legs and arms felt OK. but the rest of her body and her head are very warm. She's only got a nappy on at the moment. I tried the cool flannel and that's helped. It's hard to tell whether her temperature has gone done, as when she's crying, her skin seems cooler but clammy.
I'll take her temperature again when she wakes up. She's due some more Calpol but I'm not waking her up to give it to her.
Going to have a little read back now but before I go, MOTM have you had your MW appointment yet? Or is it not due yet? I've randomly got 26th August in my head!
Don't be afraid to take her to the hospital though. They are there for these very reasons, regardless of if you get a sh!tty nurse. It's their, albeit underpaid, job.
26th August is correct, blimey you remembered23rd 15yo turns 16, 24th newly numbered 16yo gets GCSE's 26th midwife, 27th twins turn 10. Think I may take the 25th as a rest day :rotfl:

I've just found that channel, thanksI swear there was a baby channel, but can't find it. Maybe my eyes are going on me (cue some joke about what we were discussing earlier)
We'll give home and health a go and see what we can find.0 -

MOTM- mum has said she would move over here, but its our intention to move there. although in the current financial climate we'd be no better off and would have to live with mum for quite a while. and as much as i love my mum, living with her for more than 2 weeks would probably start to annoy me. plus i think DH would kill my sister! lol!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

Really? Blimey! Think it may have shocked me too.
Do you class 37 as young. In fact, I wouldn't know how to check properly to be honest, I could have done with seeing 'This Morning'. I've spent so long worrying about the girls and their problems, I forgot about me.
I won't watch a birth. I did once and felt very faint. I'm okay holding partners hand whilst giving birth, but no, I cannot look.
Oh yes, Baby TV is tv for babies. What am I thinking of then? There was one for parents, I swear there was.0 -
Can anyone help me make my Christmas list? Husband likes to have a list for inspiration, but I'm trying to make it and I'm stuck.
Yes, before you ask, I am supposed to be working. I have four projects outstanding. Two I can't work on till someone else gets back to me, one needs approval from my boss before going any further and he is on holiday, and I am considering melding the fourth into the third. I have chosen the suitcase I want to buy to replace the one Easyjet broke and am waiting for them to get back to me, Molly is happily playing with her noisy puppy and I have no desire to clean the bathroom.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Very busy. It's better spread out. My birthday is 4 days before 17yo and then another 8 days until 14yo's Birthday.
Crazy how it works out.
Right, I MUST log off. Things to do and then we're popping down the local shops, for the sheer hell of it. I'm sure my wallet will be lighter ina couple of hours.
Enjoy the rest of your days.0 -
