    Hi all

Hope you don't mind me popping on for a moment but I just wondered if any of your made a popping sound when you were pg? It's not my rear end (thank you! :p), neither is it my hips. It's coming from my abdomen, doesn't hurt and I'm not worried just very curious. I've googled it and it's seems other pg women have experienced it but no one really knows what causes it!

I'm 37+1, if that helps at all but don't have any other signs small person's about to make an entrance :)

MOTM, apparently well-fitting bras are a key to avoiding saggy boobs later in life, HOWEVER it's probably most genetics ;) But every woman should wear a well-fitting bra regardless of pregnancy or no. ;)

Glam, is Jack doing better? I read he had HFM but not how he was doing now! :o Likewise, how is David, hammy? Catching up on a week's worth of posts made my brain fall apart the other day :p.

He is fine now thanks. :)

MOTM - Not sure what guidelines are for bra fittings but am sure if Lucy. asked in Mothercare where they do the fittings they would let her now

Maz - I wouldn't know what to mix them with, he has minted peas and lamb, lemon chicken and sweetcorn and buttery root vegatables.
Shame no sweet ones as he loves them, you get one free when you buy a adult meal in IKEA. Jack usually has a kids portion of pasta and tomato sauce followed by one plum thing for pudding.

We are now getting open mouthed kisses :A

Where does the time go?

MOTM I had a fitting around 14/15 weeks when my boobs had done their first major growth spurt and then bought a couple of nursing bras in slightly bigger cup sizes for post-delivery. I wore whichever was the most comfortable till about 3-4 weeks post partum and then got fitted again :)

and my boobs are not ruined, although they could stand to be a bit higher than they are.

Edit: hello Courgette, I had the popping thing too and it remains inexplicable to this day. Good luck!

Mothercare....will do. She usually fits in M&S but Mothercare is good and going to be a regular haunt.

Thanks, i'll advise Lucy that too. I'll C&P any advice from here and hand it to her. Would get her to come here, but she's not a forum kinda girl.

Oops. I think I just found the tippy tip of tooth 10 that has been problematic for a few weeks. Still sore by the sounds of it though, seeing as she pulled away from me and demanded medicine straight away. Oops! Means it is on its way through though, but might have another few bad days/nights I imagine.

Oooooooooooooooh Husband just gave me my birthday present!

(yes my birthday was six weeks ago, what is your point?!)

It's tomorrow and I'm getting a facial and a body scrub and massage followed by a haircut at a lovely place :D

It's right as the spa opens with the haircut right after so I won't get to use the steam room etc but that is FINE BY ME :j

although a steam room would be nice at the moment to clear out my battered sinuses but I will survive without.

Do we need them? I thought babies were meant to have their feet free for the first year? Something someone told me recently, although we thought that was just shoe free, but this person insists it's no socks or anything which I find unbelieveable because of cold weather etc
I think it is just shoe free not sock free although I read somewhere (possibly the "Birth to Five" NHS book) that badly fitting socks can cause problems too. Alice actually never had socks until she was about eighteen months and never seemed to suffer from the cold as a result. Having observed that in general infants seem to remove their socks I decided it wasn't worth bothering with them until such time as she needed them. Until she could walk she was always in the sling outside so didn't need socks and then she started walking at the start of summer so had sandals so it was only when we bought her shoes that she started wearing socks (and even then she always took them off when we took her shoes off because she wasn't used to the idea of wearing them all the time). I would still have expected her to need them indoors in the winter but she always had warm feet when I felt them (which was quite often because I kept feeling the need to confirm that she really was warm enough without socks). (But this is the child who sleeps with no duvet when I'm using two so she's probably atypical.)

She wants to bottle feed, but...breast feeding may be possible. I am no expert so can't even advise her here, so that's where the midwife will come in. She is concerned as she's never had a baby, so has no history of breastfeeding and has no idea of the feelings, physical and mental. I'm guessing this is natural to be nervous and anxious about having a first. I'm used to women just telling me what they want, rather than talking to me about it, so this approach is new to me.
Everybody has no history of breastfeeding the first time. And it doesn't have to be one or the other - she could choose a combination if she wanted to breastfeed but wanted you and the girls to be able to feed too.

We are doing feeding with bum in one air and standing only on one leg with lots of wobbling and giggling. Daft girl.
Alice used to do that kind of thing when she was a similar age. It was as if she had been challeneged to find the most unusual position she could to feed in.
