I didn't realise I'd not posted for that long. I've just been busy and not had time to catch up or post the last few days.

3, tell your mum she'll probably need to get them done herself :)

I am still raging at the way they treated you and J.

We're just back from various errands, my bl00dy phone broke so I took it to the repair guy, who said that for the cost of repair I could get a new one. So I did :j

I haven't caught up but I saw the comments and went back to find your post. I am incensed on your behalf. It was a holiday especially for autistic children. That means that the people running it should know what autistic children are like both in terms of what they can tolerate and in terms of the kind of behaviour outbursts (for want of a better term) they can have. If it had been juts a "regular" holiday then fair enough they might not expect that kind of behaviour (although I still think they should be understanding and accomodating) but when it's specifically for autistic children they should expect it and should screen people if they are going to be fussy about behaviour. I would have thought the whole point of a holiday like that is that you don't need to worry about your autistic child's behaviour because you know that the people there know about it and expect it and be understanding and accomodating. Although objectionable it would at least be understandable if it had been a "regular" holiday but it seems very cruel to offer families of autistic children a special holiday and then whip it away because the autistic child behaves like an autistic child.

Taking into consideration the behaviour of the children on the special needs play scheme I worked on, I wouldn't rate what he did as a really major incident anyway. And given the provocation, I think they should be not only giving you a full refund but also at least covering your transport costs for getting there and back.

Thank you Susan - wise words as always.

If it had been a 'normal' holiday, I may have expected a situation, but as it's for autistic children it just makes it more laughable.

Was the useless social worker of any use to you 3?

Very useful today - he brought his boss with him. :rotfl:

You could sell it on eBay. My mum has a really old phone she likes and always sells the phones she gets from her contract - they often go for more than they would cost in the shop.

Ooh, once you've had a response from the place and a refund, 3, we should set up a Facebook group about it all! Good way to warn lots of people.

I was just thinking what Susan articulated so well, that even if this was a 'normal' family holiday place I would still be outraged at you being asked to leave.

Another to go on the set fire to list, SS. It's getting pretty long this week, what with the horsey place, the airport people, the baggage handlers, and it's only Monday.

Afternoon all. Jury service today involved reading about half of my book and playing soduko on my phone. I got my name picked out of the hat at 11:45 to be one of a group of people that weren't needed again till 2, so I went off for a wander, then came back and hung around for another hour or so before finding out that the defendant pleaded guilty, and so no jury required. Better luck tomorrow ;)

Off to pick Izzy up in a mo, so have had time to clean the oven and wash up since I've been back. The exciting life I lead!

3 (and SS too!) I'm very cross on your behalf. What a shame for the kids too :( Another name to add to your list might be watchdog - particularly if you continue to have trouble getting money back from them. If they are charging big ££££££ for holidays specifically for autistic kids, then aren't geared up to actually cope with autisitic kids then they may well be interested?

Anyway, must run, or I will be late.

Ooh SM, I'll be doing that Wednesday I think!

I downloaded an app on the iPod for passing my theory test, I'm quite good actually considering I haven't read the books lol...

18th works best for me I think...

Not read back yet but want a bit of advice. I want the graco teatime highchair and the hauck £25 stroller from the asda baby event - do they tend to have plenty in stock or do we need to get there pretty quick?
