I found Ed would eventually fall asleep and stay that way - sorry not much use!
When he had gastro enteri.... can't spell! I kept a couple of towels around/on me and a bucket/bowl so at least clean up is easy

She just hurled again. Think it's the cold I had cos it's a bit mucus-y. SOrry TMI xxx Think I'll be up all night. SHould I mjust let her sleep in my arms if she'll go off? xxx

It will pass eventually. Get lots of towels and give her a little water. Perhaps stay up for a while just to make sure it passes a little.

You are probably in for a rough night though hun, just bear with it and administer muchos booby and cuddles.

Edit - just seen your post - do you have fleecy blankets or similar? You just need big absorbent things to catch and clear the mess. You will probably both end up naked sooner or later ;o)

Do anything you can to make you both comfortable....

Thanks for the leaflet, Krystal. I've only had a chance to skim but sounds increasingly likely. Finn has no symptoms and my only one is pain but it really seems to match up! I don't mind living with it for another week, since it's totally not worth the hassle of trying to see someone here...I mean, it's already been probably over a month since it started so another few days won't make a difference.

Finn'll get more beef for dinner as we're having steaks tonight, lol. Good for iron allowances, I guess!! He's also gone nuts for melon (I don't like it, so I hadn't bought any at home yet ). Just sharing to help others still looking for food ideas.

We didn't tell anyone our name choices before he was born. Not even what was on the final list, since we actually only decided on his name a few hours into his life . I think it's better that way, as then no one can be judgmental and mean beforehand.

Thanks MFD. Got nothing planned tomorrow so can be up all nightr if needed. Think I'll wait til she not been sick for an hour and then try bed again. Can hear her poor little stomach :-(

Will see if she'll ahve any water too.......

ETA Thanks MDW She's happy as can be 2 mins after she finished but I'm aklways up for more cuddles :-) Must buy more towels though! (and improve my typing with a child crawling over me :-) xxx

We kept our names list quiet to family and friends but I floated a few on the preg thread.

DSS did get to see it though but there was about 8 names on it so he didn't know which we would choose (neither did we until I was in labour LOL).

When I was pregnant we called Benjamin 'Bubba' which stuck and all our families were calling him bubba for months before he came. After Benjamin was born DSS went into the Build a Bear Factory with his mum and made a teddy for Benjamin and called it Bubba :A all with his own money too, bless him.

Aww MFD how sweet! Chris got a build a bear from MIL when we were on hols - I can't believe the price of them! (esp as the girl serving us totally encouraged Chris to get his bear some shoes - what does a bear need shoes for )

Deffo buy more towels JAM Tesco value ones are quite good for such occasions

{Goes around house collecting any towels, fleecy blankets, ikea fleece not yet cut into nappy liners, Mummies pj fleecy top (already got bit of sick on shoulder), erm - tea towels}

Gonna go back up and see how she is. Will also take clean vests (note to self). Thanks again all.

ETA WOuld you believe me if I told you my aunt and uncle own a buisness selling towels - will speak to them tomorrow - in fact - I just rememebred, they gave me a bundle of white ones when C was born - off to investigate the nursery - that reminded me Thanks xxx
