This child is a brat, if she doesn't get her own way she really goes into a massive tantrum until she's given what she wants.
For example, when Lily was a baby (and even now) if MIL gives her a cuddle, P just screams and screams until MIL puts Lily down and picks P up. SIL used to encourage her bad behaviour as she thought it was funny, but she regrets it now.0 -
EA it bugs me when you tell your own kids off but other parents don't seem to bother. I'd have said 'Ooh that hurt poor Lily!' then you're just telling the child what's happened, not telling them off - sort of, but it implies that you're not happy about it.Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked

Think I'll leave the trunki for now. Tesco had a cute pram (toy) and pull along suitcase for £21 that I mega hinted to MIL for Ambers Christmas.
SS! My gadget shop order came! The stuff is great, little telescopes are wayy cool ( I should have gotten more ) and the listening devices are well... loud! Especially when a child yells at you when youre messing about with one!
The wallets are strange... I bought them for the kids but they don't have any place for change? Still, I think they will like them anyway. More for someone into sports, you can pop cards and some notes in and then it can go on one of those ID badge holders that you wear round your neck. Anyway, very happy with it, so thanks for telling me about the sale!
Thats BIL crossed off and almost one niece (just to get one more item from ebay for her). Oh and part of another BIL too.0 -
EA, usually I will give the parents a chance to deal with their child, if they don't I have no qualms at all about saying 'Don't 'throw a yoghurt pot at Lily', that is not nice' or whatever, if the parent doesn't like it, they should have dealt with it at first.0

We have a trunki and it is lovely... And hubby wants me to get the cheap bee trunki too... But I'm a bit inclined to wait until we plan to go away again before we invest in another... The children might be too old by then lol...
I have a poorly sick baba
She was sick in her cot at naptime and I didn't notice...She wasn't right this morning, very clingy and lying around so I'm not surprised... I am a bit put out though that she's managed to be sick in her cot the day after we ran out of bed mats when we changed the sheet so there's no mattress protection and also the only time she's ever had Violet the dog in there (because she was cuddling it downstairs it just went up with her...) and sleepy time timmy ended up in there yesterday for the same reason... Out of all the machine washable teddies she has, she has to barf on the electronic ones!
Oh and I'm not afraid to stop someone elses child playing up... One of Aimee's childhood friends is a real wotsit, always has been and his mother has always let him get away with everything... I don't!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I'm a little bit gutted, they've cancelled all the good stuff out of my order and although they've refunded my shipping I'm still peeved
Glad your stuff came though and I hope the boys like it all.
Monster child has finally been wrestled down for a nap. Husband has gone out to the supermarket and I am sitting here feeling sickly and cranky. And my project manager just emailed me all the winding-down paperwork to be getting on with and informed me I need to take my nine days holiday instead of being paid for it because that's not usual in Germany. I have no desire to take two weeks off work and would rather have the cash
But I think I will take the days around my friends' Oktoberfest visit so we can amuse ourselves guiltlessly. Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I guess I've been lucky up until now, but knew it would happen one day. This must be what Tara was on about before she sadly left.
If somebody did that to me I'd probably assume it was a troll rather than a poster here under a different name. (But maybe that is what you're thinking and I've misunderstood.)Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Gill, I hope little one manages to nap before swimming. Do you go to baby swim classes, or just take him swimming yourself?
I've got his name down for 'Aquababies' which we should be starting in November, but in the meantime I just take him myself, along with a mummy friend and her baby boy. He's been a bit over awed up to today but I had him in the swimseat and was pouring a water can over his head and he was smiling and laughing today :j
Yay for Kian's 'ta' :T
EA - went to Mamas & Papas yesterday and got T a book with his voucher. It's a lovely teddy bear board book of Old Macdonald, and it plays the tune as well. I read (sang?!) it to him last night and he loved it. Only cost me £1.99 :money:
Redstar - how did A find her first day at school? ETA just seen your post - she looks sooooo cute
and very proud of herself too bless her.
Poor Liam NMS (and poor you having to see him like that, must be really upsetting)
Maz - please don't question your presence here...I'd be sorry to lose you
I think someone did post a mini catch up which covered the big things that went on? I know I read it and couldnt think of anything else to add.
I agree with Sugar that things do get lost or people read them and don't have time to reply....I have frequently asked questions that don't get a response, or posted piccies that nobody commented on and you do feel a bit sad/unwanted at first but then I rationalise it as I don't comment on everything, altho I read it and maybe think something to myself. In those instances I just post it again or look it up somewhere else.v Plenty of things do get responded to and I've had loads of really good advice.
My baby is having a lovley long nap after swimming.....really I should do something productive like clean up................Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
