SELFISH POST ALERT I feel crap, back aches, Toby had the worst night in ages, up lots, feeding lots, crying lots, he is still not right today
Grabbed half hour sleep whilst he napped just now. Got to go into work this aft to sort out my job role for next week, boo hiss, could really do with staying home but it will prob benefit me in the long run. WAFFLE OVER!!
Just gave Toby a snack of breadsticks (idea nicked from nursery), cucumber sticks and water and he seemed to like all that. The remains are now all over the carpet as I sat him in his cushitush to eat it. oh btw I mega recommend the cushitush, we took it on our hols and were well impressed, T seems comfier and doesn't try to escape like he does in the bumbo.

I think it's natural for people to come into the thread and to leave it for whatever reasons. People like each other or they don't and it's unreasonable to expect everyone to get along. What I don't like is when people's leaving makes it look like we're an unwelcoming bunch of harpies who are cackling behind the backs of anyone who's a bit insecure.
Stuff gets lost in the flood of posts all the time. I asked for an update when I got back from holidays and didn't get one; it doesn't mean nobody likes me (or it better not *shakes fist*). Likewise, when I was in the UK last Christmas I tried to organise a little meet and no one was able to come. Christmas is a busy time, it happens, and I'm sure you'd all rather spend time with your families than some stranger off the internet and her escapologist baby - even if there were Ikea meatballs in the equation.
Anyway, I would like to announce that I am lovely and I think just about everyone else is lovely and if you're a builder so be it, but don't track brick dust onto our nice carpet because then someone has to hoover it up. Everyone has different parenting styles, and it's such a valuable thing to me that we can do different things and not be judged for them. And with that, I am off to rescue my baby from whatever destruction she's wreaked. The last time I saw her (she's playing with Husband right now) she was shirtless and wearing about sixteen strings of beads, crawling past the door looking like a very tiny medicine man.

Sorry to intrude. I have no children: - sadly passed away aged nine so I have no need to be here.
I have been having a conversation by email with Man on the Moon whom is a personal friend of mine back from our gym days although we have not seen each other for eighteen months. I introduced him to his last two lovers: - sorry mate
I am not a troll as you can see from my post count and I have been here longer than him. I'm sure someone will find a problem somewhere to suit a sorry smear campaign.
I shall keep this brief; he is very real, as are his children and although I have not met her, I have seen a picture of him with his new lover: - she's very nice too. Lucky git
Wedding invite please buddy. If I could nominate him for the best dad award; I would. I bow down to any chap who has coped so admirably. A better man than me.
On the subject of wet drip; not a chance. I have seen him angry only twice and i'm even bigger than him and I avoided him. He is devoted to his offspring and always has been to any partner he has shared his life with. Sensitive to others and caring about them is not a big drip and it is a sad world when a man as good as this bloke gets the private message that he shared with me this morning. I am urging him to take it to the authorities as it contained some very nasty comments that I personaly deem abusive and unacceptable. He is not worried about people talking behind his back; he knows it happens and knows some of the people who participate. He's been waiting for someone to have the balls to say something publicly. I wouldn't say it was balls saying it on an open messageboard and not to his face. I don't think he would have reacted as calmly as he did if it had.
I know he appreciates the private messages of support he has received asking him not to leave; that will be his decision; but I shall be encouraging him to take matters elsewhere. I am angry for him and those who have done this should be ashamed. He is ugly enough; sorry mate, to look after himself but had that message been read by one of his family; can you imagine the despair?
I give apologies for my intrusion but I won't let his name be muddied by people that don't know him or his; especially in the way it was done. I am more angry than he is. I also hope the person who sent the message is a non poster as if this person has children; they shouldn't have.
Feel free to have a pop at me for standing up for someone. I know the drill; i've seen the PM and the forwarded ones; I too am big and ugly enough to take it and unlike my buddy; i'll take a pop back as i'm a little more outspoken than he is.0 -
Here's an interesting 'drama' that i've been reading.
Woman thinks she's 5 months pregnant, all tests come back negative, she can now feel kicks and has a bump but doctors wont scan her as they think she's crazy.
She went to A&E and a midwife used a doppler, picked up no HB but felt a kick.
She was due to be scanned on Tues but hasn't come back to the thread.
Its on Baby & Bump. Weird or what?!0 -
yeah for teeth! how old is molly now? I canm't remember what the record is anymore - pretty sure Rhys holds it by actual age but if you take his adjusted age my Chris was winning but now it would be the mollsterAlso, I can't believe I forgot to say - after a full year of bulging baldy gums, Molly has finally managed to sprout one of the bottom front teeth :j :j :j
She is currently destroying my living room, lovely toothy girl that she is, after insisting I get up with her cause she was staaaaaaaarving, Mama! and then only eating half her cereal.
I still make sure Chris has 21+ pairs of underpants, we had about 5 accidents the first day, 3 the 2nd, 1 ish on other days (usually poop)ladybirdintheuk wrote: »Morning all. I think I saw some of the posts before they were deleted, rather than being psychic it turns out
First step towards potty training - managed to find some pants in 18-24 months... only 5 pairs though. I realise that is not going to be anywhere near enough to start with. Anyone with bigger kids, how many do you recommend? I'm thinking we will get through more than 5 in a day!
Is she showing signs?
WooooooooooHooooooooooo!! :T:T:T:j:j:j:jMorning all..
...
Oscar has not thrown up for 2 days:j:j he is now eating mushed up lumps rather than just smooth purees, and is now crawling.
Fabulous!
Ps. I'm 99.999% sure no one here needs to worry about abusive PMs they have only been mentioned by one person, nobody else has ever mentioned it, (if you are thinking of what Tara said, she said people were !!!!!ing - which I agree is not nice but is not the same thing)
Anyhoo, can you believe I went to clarks yesterday and they didn't have a single pair in Edgars size! we tried some in the next width up to see if they could be tightened with the straps but none right right:( I fell in love with a pair called Morty but online they only have them in a not nice colour combo so anyway I have ordered every pair that came in his size but have to wait for them to arrive instore now.
I can't believe we're finally gonna get him in shoes though, its took a bit of work but he is now happy wearing them

13 months less five days when I noticed her little pointy protrusion
Not bad for a child who's had white lines on her upper gums since birth and bulging on all sides since she was about two months old.
In her rummagings, Mistress Molly has found a sock monkey I made for her. He still has no ears but perhaps I shall make some for him; I have a pair of white socks I was going to make into a snowman to peek out of her Christmas stocking.
Oh, and pictures of shirtless beaded Molly will be on FB very soon.
That is interesting EA. Apparently Mary Tudor had a phantom pregnancy that lasted the whole nine months.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
