Leak responsibility

in Water bills
Grateful for any help, we live in a detached victorian house with a fair bit of land, we have noticed a leak at the border of the property and are not sure if we are responsible for fixing any leaks on our property or the water board. Please advise! Thanks

If it is on your land - you are responsible!
However most companies will repair a one-off leak on your land as a goodwill gesture - however not if it is under outbuildings, patios etc. Also if the water supply pipe is badly corroded etc they might insist on a replacement pipe at your expense.0
