Finding number of watchers on an item

I'm sure I've seen several sites like https://www.Goofbay.com that show the number of watchers on an item that someone else is selling, which you can't see on the ebay site.
Obviously if it is your own item that you are selling you will be able to see that information on ebay.
I recently had a look and can't find any sites doing this. Maybe ebay have removed the facility for these sites ?

Hi, I am looking for exactly the same thing. Goofbay used to do this I'm sure, but looking at the link it appears to have changed. I have just been outbid on something and would love to know how many watching!

If you have the goofbay toolbar and you click on No of watchers it comes back with "Page removed"
I don't know of any other sites that do this but would like to if anyone knows any

Ebay killed the part of Goofbay that did this. They're likely to come down hard on anyone else who tries to make such a feature available. My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I quite often watch items i have no intention of buying, just to see what they go for. The sellers must get excited when they see ppl watching..."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0

I generally tend to assume that only about half of watchers (on average) are potential bidders. I've had up to 7 watchers on items that finished with only one bid, though. I liked the Goofbay tool for checking the number of watchers on items others are selling. It's a shame it's no longer available.0

Yeah, i had 8 watchers for an item that went in 3 bids, pity they didn't all pitch in at the end and fight it out!"I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0

interested to read comments about watchers. Can anyone explain why people (in quite large numbers - like 30 - 40) would watch a buy it now item? Is it so they don't forget about it and buy while there is still some left, or to see if it is selling? On a normal auction I can understand it.... any thoughts out there?? :question:0

Probably selling one similar or thinking of listing one similar, or watching an auction and a buy it now at the same time to see if the auction goes above/below bin price.0

Deffo what FloFlo said. I have done this myself. Actually, once a colleague of mine was selling something, so i put it on watch so i could check it out, and he kept saying "someone is watching my BIN item, why would they do that? Why don't thy just buy it?" I was like 'oh, yeah, how annoying...":o"I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0

Thats so naughty, I am watching several items including ones that are buy it now for all the reasons I said earlier - plus if an item doesn't sell they might relist it cheaper or take an offer for it.0
