New T-Mobile User Queries...
Hi,
I'll start by admitting I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to mobiles. I've just bought an LG GD510 POP on T-Mobile PAYG to replace a 10-year old brick.
I've had it on charge overnight and hadn't made any calls/texts apart from 'practice' texts to 150 to get the balance which was £10. When I turned the phone on for the first time, I received 3 welcome texts. The first one said 'Want to make the most of T-Mobile? Click http://m.t-mobile.co.uk/payg for FREE'. This morning, I thought it would give me the chance to check out the internet on it, so clicked the link. I clicked another link from the t-Mobile web page which came up then disconnected. The whole thing took about 30 seconds. I decided to just make sure my balance was unaffected, but it's gone down to £9.65 . I know it's only 35p, but I'm a bit annoyed as FREE should mean free. Anyone else have this happen?
One thing I can't seem to find out about for sure is if calls to customer services on 150 are free on PAYG. I don't want to phone them for a moan about the above and find the price of the call cancels out any refund they may give on the internet call.
Finally, the phone qualifies for 6 months free internet. The small-print on the T-Mobile website says to follow the instructions which will be sent to the phone before 31st August. Anyone any idea how long this will actually take, or should I be asking customer services to action it?
Cheers!
