And also the minimum is £5 per week to pay it back! Really really really doubt they will accept 50p per month

Well I am working, but not officially.

Yep maybe I should call them and offer to pay them 50p a month and see what they say

No ...don't bother to pay them back - just don't bother coming back - we need people like you in this country like a hole in the head!

So don't think that in eighteen months time or so, when you've run out of places to doss down that you'll be able to come back and claim more benefits - because you'll not be able to show continual residence!

    Hi there

Not sure if this is the correct section to post this, if not please move.

About 8 or 9 years ago I was unemployed, and took out some 'crisis loans' from the benefit people. One for about £500 and other's totalling around £300. I haven't heard a sniff from them all this time, now all of a sudden I get loads of brown envelopes at my parents address asking for the money back.

My situation is that I'm now living abroad.

What's the best way to avoid paying this cash back, shall I get my parents to say I no longer live at their address?, which is true. Or shall I phone them to say i'm not working and not claiming benefit?

    Any help appreciated

Fake, or perhaps the stupidest person ever to have purchased a computer has joined the forum. Either way it is a waste of any more ASCII sent your way.

Of course I can afford to pay it back, but I don't want to right now, I will just pay them the smallest amount possible

What you want (or not) doen't matter.

Do you not feel any guilt about having taken all this money (over £1000) from the pot & not wanting to pay it back considering the state our Country is in?
