Who is going to take a date rape drug which paralyses you rendering you unconsious on purpose. This is a different thing from recreational drugs taken on purpose.
Actually it is rife there .This is the 4th time in 2 weeks this has happened there and not to young teenagers on a bender. They live and work nearby and had taken a friend who was visiting out for a meal. They only had 1 glass of wine with their meal.
They finished there meal and went to the bar. My son went to the toilet and his partner and friend went to the bar to order drinks and it was at the bar the drink was spiked by a Pakistani guy standing next to them. The bar has cctv footage of what happened and now know who they are looking for.
When my sons partner collapsed they knew exactly what had happened with the condition she was in. She was lucky she had only 1 drink and a couple of sips from the one at the bar and the effects were horrendous hate to think the effects on someone with a lot of alchohol. So you dont have to be a teenager and drunk on a wild night out. It can happen anytime.
I don't want to take anything away from your story and the warning behind it, which is very valid, but be aware people DO take this drug for the kicks - sometimes taking too much, sometimes judging it just right. It's a tricky one to get just right.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

The science in the Daily Mail article is sound and correct.
Perhaps the real warning should be for women to monitor their alcohol intake carefully.
Thanked you by mistake.0 -
Maybe I'm just more observant or cautious than most, but I really do find it hard to believe someone could slip something into my drink without me noticing, unless I was really really stupid and left it unattended with only people I didn't know.
But hey, I suppose people also get tricked into sending their life savings to fake Nigerian businessmen, so anything's possible.0 -
its mostly 100% alcohol that gets spiked into drinks, not gbh or anything like that,
just clear liquid that is 100%.
also not helped when people are drinking alot of alcohol in the 1st place in small amounts of time0
