Help!
I need a new Orange phone that just makes calls, sends / receives texts and has bluetooth. Dont need / want any other gizmos or gadgets and cant face the thought of running the gauntlet of the sales patter from internet, call centres, shops etc!
My current phone is 4 years old and the battery is dying, and it lasts just about long enough to have a conversation. I am on an Orange contract, and still have free orange broadband and UK & Europe landline calls that was included in the 18 month deal I took with them in 2006.
I have no issues with my current tariff, monthly costs or anything else, I am happy and cant see the point of changing anything - I could possibly get a better deal but what I have got now is working for me and and I really dont see how it can be a lot different in the bigger picture if I have to pay for broadband and landline calls and at the end of the day all I want is a new but basic mobile phone on my current terms.
Question is, how do I do this quickly, cheaply, and without getting horrendously confused by the millions of phone and tariff options and sucked in by the brainwashing from the salespeople??

You go to CarPhoneWarehouse, look at their PAYG phones (theirs are best as they are unlocked), you choose a cheap phone and buy it!
Put your existing sim in it, keep the PAYG one you get for emergencies or give it away. Decide if the replacement sim is better on another network - in case of reception problems or if you want to use it for Orange Weds (the text tickets are 35p per time on your existing contract)0 -
If you're happy with the phone why not just buy a new battery?0
