  • Just got mine today and quite pleased with mine, I have tried to find picture for what I got

Best thing was a black silky dress, very pretty found this picture of it but its prettier than the picture, says its £150!http://www.osoyou.com/items/tiffany-dress/U560ZS-154.publisha

Mustard top quite like this but its a too tight across the bust think its more size 10 than 12 http://www.peopletree.co.uk/products/alicia-lace-top/

Black embroided wrap around skirt looks strange like a tube but once you get it on looks ok - cant find a pic of this, think this is more for winter wear with thick tights

    2 pairs of knickers!

    Note book

so not too bad, Im disappointed about the top as this would be the item I would perhaps worn the most.

Sounds like they have an abundance of size 12 knickers! :rotfl: Still, your bag sounds nice so I'd find a use for the knickers!

    And onto the next...
  • I picked mine up from the Post Office today (size 14 goody bag) and this is what I received:

Brown and white print skirt - nice style and something I would wear but it's a bit too small on the waist for me.

Orange/yellow/brown hippy style patterned top - not my colours or style.

Grey, knitted, chunky, tank top cardigan - absolutely horrendous looking.

Cream t-shirt with a design of green leaves - ok, but not worth keeping the whole lot for.

Pack of multi coloured embroidered bangles - bit childlike in design and not really me.

I was so excited receiving it but fairly disappointed with the contents. A shame really as it is pot luck and this bag may be someone else's perfect choice.
It will definitely be going back...just need to work out whether I want an exchange or not. ;)

Well, an exchange is all you can get unless something is faulty:

    http://www.peopletree.co.uk/products/womens-goody-bag/

Goody bags are non-refundable. An exchange will be given only if the goody bag is returned in full with all its original items, no exchange will be given on any single product returned.

Or do you mean exchange for another goody bag or other People Tree items?

My bag arrived this morning and with the exception of one item (a lovely brown Ikat printed top), I didn't like anything in it. I'm a size 12 but ordered a 10 and all items fit ok but they seemed to make a mistake and sent me a size 8 item too. I'm hoping this will allow me a free return and a full refund. Other than the nice top, my bag contained a long cream blouse with a huge frill down the front - far too fussy for me but I know others would love it. They also sent the same item in black (size 8) and I didn't even bother trying it on as the size 10 was quite neat fitting. Oh, and also two pairs of big black knickers! I never wear black and didn't take them out of the packaging. Also a People Tree notebook. All items in good condition. I got the goody bag last year as well and returned it then too as I just didn't like the stuff. I'll give this brand a miss next time as it's just not for me.

    Update on above:
They will allow me a free return but the CS person I spoke to was dubious regarding a refund as none of the items are faulty. They're quite right of course that I'm not automatically entitled to one in the circumstances but hope that they'll decide it'll be cheaper to refund me than send me another parcel.
  • I've just recieved a size 16 goodybag ordered last Thursday. I got:
    • Lovely cotton slightly low slung beige marl trousers which look like heavy linen with an embroidered belt and loops to make them into three quarters if you want. Too low slung for me but a proper size 16 and beautiful (will put on ebay)
    • Red patterned sun dress rushed at the bust. again good fitting and pretty.
    • cream cotton t-shirt with collar. lovely and fits well.
    • navy short sleeved sweatshirt material hoodie, a bit to young for me I think.
    • multi coloured beaded necklace.
all in all I think I got a really good bag, sizes were good. shame the trousers don't suit me as I really like them. Can't complain

Oh - that bodes well for me - I ordered a 16 on the same day. The only thing I wouldn't wear there is low slung trousers - now I am too old for that!

Under distance selling regs you can cancel your order and get the original postage and bag cost back but you need to pay return postage.

As for the fact none of the items were faulty, yes but sas you ordered size 10s and got a size 8 you didn't get what you ordered therefore all postage (original and return) should be refunded, as should the bag cost if you want t to be.

    HTH.

You did better than me. Receieved my size 16 bag today and got two camisoles, one t-shirt, cable knit shrug and necklace.

'The Ubiquitous Mrs Smith's post above gives me the confidence to phone them and quote the DSR to them.

Edited to add - i phoned them and no problem. also, remember they don't need to have received the goods back to start processing the refund. They apologised when i told them what was in the bag and said that wasn't up to their usual standards.

  • Well I've finally collected my two goody bags (they arrived at work on Monday) and I'm happy with the outcome.:)

I ordered 12. I am an average size 12, Primark 12 is big on me, especially waists (need the length though) in EAST I'm more of a 10, but for M&S in the shoulders I occasionally need a 14.

The 'accessory' has now become "a small hand crafted item" as per their web site so I got two 'People Tree' branded notepads, one in each bag.

Now the clothes (all labelled as 12)

    Bag 1:
Cream / natural longp-sleeved pyjamas (I think!), but neutral styling also usable as long-sleeved T-shirt and yoga pants. Outstanding quality, comfortable fit, I'm well pleased.

Mint green cotton jersey v-neck cardi. Nice staple.

Dark mustard woven strappy top with embroidery. A bit tight across the chest - and I'm flat chested! (34 A/B) but pretty and wearable.

Strapless black top - not very me but can probably re-fashion as skirt for DD1 (or mini skirt for myself???)

    Bag 2:
Purple heavy cotton jersey skirt with sash/tie detail. A bit large on the waist but not a problem (not falling down)

Grey Marl jersey shorts. another useful staple

Light mustard T-shirt with world print motif. Comfortable sizing but fine for my taste. I really like this one it's a bit different.

Light burgundy lightweight woven top with ruffle V shape neckline and small fluttery sleeves. Not very me so this one is probably the one other thing I can't wear. Will see how it looks once I have ironed the ruffles!

Good luck everyone! I'd love to hear more examples from others!
