I just picked up my box from the Post Office this morning and am a bit disappointed. I vary between a size 12 and 10 so I ordered a 10 but nothing fits. I got:
A plain green t shirt
A grey tunic top
A white fleecy cardigan
A tiny pair of white shorts (they really are tiny)
A pair of earrings
The clothes are ok - not what I would have chosen but I would have kept and worn them if they fitted. The cotton is a bit thin, though - not as good quality as I would have expected. I will have to send the whole lot back and ask for a size 12 bag. Fingers crossed I get better stuff next time!
I've just had a browse and none of the clothes that I was sent are on the website. Everything on the website (including sale items) seems nicer and more detailed than what I got. Hmm.0 -
Well I picked up my goody bag from the post office today and overall I am ok with it, not great but I am not disappointed.
I got this dress in grey http://www.johnlewis.com/80740/Product.aspx Really love this! I have it on already!
A pair of light grey jogging bottom type things, really soft and light so would do as pj bottoms or loungy trousers
A blue cotton skirt with gold embroidery on the waistband, this is nice, a strange length on me as I am not the tallest but I can see me wearing it on nice days!
A stripey vest dress thing - not impressed with this, its a bit tight but might be ok if I banish a few extra pounds!
A gold necklace with round discs - is ok and will probably wear.
So overall, nothing spectacular but def not disappointed. Not just resisting the urge to order again! :-) Maybe next month!0 -

So onto the box. I got:
Notepad - all curled so no good though.
Knickers - yep, the one thing I definately didn't want! Obviously not tried them on but they look huge!
A halterneck - ok, yellow and muti-coloured pattern. May have worn it under a cardi but very, very thin. The only thing I would wear.
A t-shirt - cream and blue animal print. Would never wear it, would have kept it for decorating or given it to my sister but again, very thin.
A vest top - but not any vest top. I expect to see this on Desperate Housewives or something when someone is trying to convince other people they are pregnant. Ah! It's this but in black and honestly, if the model were to stop slouching, you'd see the full tentness of it and how it inexplicably gets about three inches longer at the back!
So, basically the vest top was the only reason my box was over £100. I don't think it represents a range of People Tree items and therefore I'll send it back.
I do feel a bit bad about sending it back,
Might get Sublime to order me one as she seems to do well!:)
I probably would have kept yours, as their stuff seems to suit, even freaky unusual stuff I never would have looked at.
I had the long version in black of the tunic dress you got. Its supposed to be worn buttoned up Victorian style, but I prefer to wear with the collar undone, and sticking up. I sometimes remove the collar, so it looks like a longer version of yours. Its worth experimenting with, as had have positive comments when wearing.

A shame when they disappoint.
I suppose it depends on whose packing.0 -

I saw your dress and loved it. The vest thing was just a vest and you couldn't do anything with it other than remove the sash which makes it even more tent like! :rotfl:Trying hard to remember... "Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery." David Coperfield
[STRIKE]C/C £800[/STRIKE] paid off February! :T
And onto the next...0 -

Thats so disappointing. The first one I ever recieved as a gift, I wasn't overly keen on, although had 2 wearable things in it. Thats the thing with goody bags, they really are a lucky dip.0 -
I received my bag today but very disappointed. Ordered size 16 (same as last time when everything fitted). This time nothing fitted!
Included: nice necklace, white t-shirt, black jersey dress thingy (twisted strappy top), patterned , elasticated top sundress, and a pair of very long linen trousers! Unfortunately these also had three small stains on one leg - looked like needle-jab bloodstains (not sure)
Oh dear - shall I order again? Dunno, being a pensioner who likes unusual clothes is difficult sometimes!!:o0 -
Since all your posts helped me to decide to go for a goody bag, I decided to sign up and let you know what came in mine (size 10).
I got:
- a thin cream cotton jersey camisole top from the underwear range
- the grey Emma Watson tunic dress that another poster mentioned. Far too short for a dress on me but it looks cool over jeans.
- An A-line flared indigo skirt with wide pinstripes
- A purple cotton jersey pleated skirt with sash
- A pair of dangly earrings
All of them fit me fine (my top is a small 10 and my hips a large 10). The indigo skirt is fitted at the waist and hips and is a bit tight, and the purple skirt is more like a 12, but nothing I can't or won't wear.
Overall really happy - love all the clothes but even better is the opportunity to try out new styles/colours that I might not have chosen.
Thanks to everyone who posted what they got.0 -
Just got mine today and quite pleased with mine, I have tried to find picture for what I got
Best thing was a black silky dress, very pretty found this picture of it but its prettier than the picture, says its £150!http://www.osoyou.com/items/tiffany-dress/U560ZS-154.publisha
Mustard top quite like this but its a too tight across the bust think its more size 10 than 12 http://www.peopletree.co.uk/products/alicia-lace-top/
Black embroided wrap around skirt looks strange like a tube but once you get it on looks ok - cant find a pic of this, think this is more for winter wear with thick tights
2 pairs of knickers!
Note book
so not too bad, Im disappointed about the top as this would be the item I would perhaps worn the most.0 -
I ordered last Thursday but nothing yet. Was really excited when I placed my order but after reading the above, I might have to alter my expectations somewhat....0
