    Have removed McAfee using the steps given above - thanks

    Have installed Zonealarm and Avira.

    They both working okay as far as i know but have come across one problem...

    When installing Avira it states that Windows Defender is running and should be switched off to prevent any conflict. I have gone into control panel - windows defender - tools - options and i have turned off automatic scanning. The alert from Avira says i should switch off real time protection, how do i do that? The alert says i should find it in options heading but it is not there.

    Also checking on security centre is says windows defender is switched on.
    Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

    When i opened the Windows Defender it was a small screen. I always assume that when there is more info on the page and it does not fit the screen there is a scroll bar on the right to tell you that. There wasn't one on the WD screen. I thought i just maximise it to see what happens. Guess what did i find hidden? Yep managed to switch it off now. :T:T
