benefit help urgently needed

my girlfriend is on benefits. She has been saddled with debts (6k) by her ex partner. She is unable to work (M.E. or possibly M.s) and has been ta the CAB who have been some help in sorting her debts a little and calling off bailiffs. She has been told to go on ESA as she is ill. However the amount per month changes by the day and she has also lost her carers allowance. Her son 11 has Aspergers and receives DLA at the middle rate, I now understand that she should be able to claim income support and carers allowance, because of this. Her benefit amounts seem to change regulsrly and she is really struggling, which is doing her health no good. The benefits system moves more slowly than a snail with an arthitic condition. Has anyone any words of wisdom or know where she can go for more rapid help. She is a single mum living in Hampshire Thank you David

because she was told she had to go on ESA? which is my gripe, she seems to have been misled via the authorities and CAB. With income support she would keep her carers allowance, but she cannot get an answer and the wheels turn slowly.

Why was she on income support? If it was because of the CA, she'd stay on IS.

she has to care for her son, and obviously she would want to. there is no doubt about her being unable to work she was advised that she could not claim income support, but this seems eroneous as her son is on DLA...........in the mean time she has little money to live on, yesterday she was down to £3 and she is far far far from wasteful. She seems lost in the system and i am trying to sort
