I haven't had a vip slot for over 7yrs now. And i've spent thousands with them. It makes no difference how much you spend.

Well, i did it , i have just cancelled my account. Will save me absoloutely hundreds . They can shove their VIP slots.

I don't want to seem as though i'm trying to create an argument, as i'm not but i'm sick of seeing these post whinging that 'I havn't had a slot', 'I spend hundreds with Next and they didn't give me a slot this year', 'I get one every year but they havn't given me one' and 'I'm not shopping there again'.

If you have had one every year lately but not this year...big deal!
Someone else will be getting the chances you have had previously to grab a bargain quickly, why should you expect to get first picks every year? Next has millions of customers to give these slots to, so some people will have to miss out.

I have shopped with Next for a few years and always pay my account on time and i havn't had a slot but i'm not complaining..i will just see if anything i want is in the sale when i am able to look.

Sale's are meant to be about finding a bargain and being lucky to grab what you want, not getting in before everyone else and taking the good stuff days before, then complaining because you didn't get the chance this year.

Personally i think they need to totally get rid of this VIP rubbish and just let everyone shop the sales at the same time, ending this constant complaining everytime they have a sale.

I have to add I have had my next account for about 5 years and buy quite a lot of stuff, i have only ever not had a slot once and that was last time, i didnt mind i went to store instead, i have always found that even though you get a vip slot and make an order it dont guarantee you the item as lots of stuff has been sold out and not been sent, so even if you have a vip it is pot luck if you get your order, i do have another vip slot this year and will be placing an order however i wont go mad as i will also venture to our local store at 5am, it is hard if you dont get a slot as you do feel as if you have missed out but I do wonder what Next criteria is ?

I just got an email from Next. It says if I order a directory then I would be eligible for a VIP slot next time. Weird.

I think it's the fact that some people get the slots every time while some of us never get one that annoys folk.

I agree - I have had VIP sale slots in the past but not this time. I think the VIP sale slots are used as a way of upping the hysteria.

I know - I am happy for those who have one and are going to enjoy spending a fortune tomorrow. I'll bet it's great fun. I know I was on a high spending tons at Boden in the sale then going through the three boxes they sent me. It's just that their system can't be that random if the same people get slots and the unlucky ones never do. I agree with the lady who said they should do away with them. They only cause bad feeling and evil thoughts to the Next gremlins who chose the lucky ones. They must also spend days taking calls from the irate neglected ones who want to know why it's not them.

No, i see where you are coming from. I have been lucky? ( i say lucky but it was only because i rung that i got a vip slot in the first place). It has been really nice but i have always thought it unfair .

I think either do away with VIP slots or let all card holders get vip invites like other stores do and all at the same time.

I still don't know why everyone(including me) has been so mad on Next clothes.:o I sound bitter but i think i buy just for the Next label sometimes. So instead of going crazy in the next sale i am going to write a list and only buy what i really need for my family from other shops in the sales and hope i stick to it.
