I think it's totally unfair too and am writing them a letter of complaint. I fit all the criteria they have stated and yet haven't received a VIP slot. I have even spent over £1000 in the last 3 months ordering stuff for my children and home.

Maybe they should have offered the remaining slots to the people who have missed out on them and not allowed the people who have already had theirs to book another.

Well I had a slot reserved last night ( Wednesday). Finally managed to ordered some items, website was very slow. But this morning on checking my confirmation a lamp I ordered is not at the sale price of £30, its £65! Emailed Next about this and was told I ordered this outside my time slot and I have to re-order during my Fridays time slot!

What a nightmare!

You can't even order products from the VIP Sale unless you're in the allocated time slot, which I was (Even received email and texts confirming this).

So now been told I have to re-order it all tomorrow evening and hope its still all in stock! What a joke

I dont think I will be bothering with Next sales anymore.

I hope everyone else's VIP shopping is going better than mine

i have just rung them and they told me that i should have recieved a slot and did it for me over the phone for tomorrow

The VIPs are random and so just because people meet the criteria doesn't mean you automatically get one. I don't have a VIP slot but don't mind as i used to work for Next and so got some really good bargains in the past. The best stock always gets snapped up by staff before the sale starts. Although i do think the Next sale is a great one i don't get obsessed over it. The hype is created by the store with VIP allocation, preview lists and early opening. It gets people so exited so that they will spend more. I also don't agree that the baby clothes are cheaper in the Next sale than they usually are in ASDA although they may be better quality. After working in the store i believe people go completely OTT in the sale. The will spend hundreds but return over half the stock, its like they are worried they are going to miss out. If Next had a returns policy like a lot of other shops (sale items only returned if faulty) then maybe people would only buy what they actually want and would not be so greedy.

I already had a long slot 7-11pm, so think that is more than enough. They shouldn't be offering those of us who have already had a slot and a chance to splurge another slot. Those who haven't had one should be given a chance.

I didn't get a slot last year, so am very pleased I got the first VIP slot this year. I can see why there is a scrummage, a lot of the bits I ordered are now OOS totally or OOS in my size, so I shouldn't imagine there would be a lot left if I'd have had to wait until Saturday. Depends what you are looking for though. Wasn't much men's stuff left, but got my OH a t-shirt which I hope he'll like and that's now OOS.

I may ring up Next and see if they will only charge me one delivery charge. I ordered 3 lots yesterday, it was showing as 4 charges last night but now 3. Are people getting this reduced to 1 charge?

Yes when I went on to check if the excess delivery charges had been removed the box for the slot was there still, and it said that I was eligible to book another lot on Friday!

I know this has happened for other people in the past, they had an original slot, and then were able to book another one at a later date in the VIP time slots.

I don't know how Next decide on the VIP slots, for the past 3 or 4 years I've had a slot every sale bar one. I do spend loads of money with them, but I have friend who also does and has never recieved a VIP slot, so I'm not sure how they decide who does or doesn't get one??

I have had an account with Next for years and have never received a VIP slot. Maybe, i'm just very very unlucky!
