Only if its conflicting and of course only if its regulation.

Well clearly only if it is in conflict or otherwise there is no issue of supremacy anyway.

And not just Regulations. Also directly effective Directives and case law together with Decisions.

To be fair directly applicable and effective EU law prevails over domestic law. Sadly.
I tend to disagree. Consumer law has been neglected in this country for too long and I tend to think that the EU law [eg DSR] is often rather good.

My sadness is really down to the fact that the British parliament is no longer supreme.

Looking at how it has handled itself these last few years, I'm more sad about how it has handled itself.

It is, as it is only due to an Act of Parliament that EU law can currently preside over UK law. Parliament could change it readily, so that EU does not preside over UK law. The UK would also most likely have to leave the EU though.

Well it is actually debatable as to whether the European Communities Act 1972 can actually be repealed...

Seem to remember Lord Denning talking about EU law many years ago when he said that it is like an incoming tide, flowing into the estuaries and into the rivers. It cannot be held back.
