Got no other employer it could be. The job i'm in is directly related to the course i want to do and so it would have been ideal. Because i don't have the qualifications, they look at experience so will need something from this job.

here are a few things you might consider doing
1. Ask for a meeting with you boss, tell them you have a had a chance to think about what was said to you, explain your side of things (if it was me I'd have to be telling myself not to get defensive), say you really want to make a success of this job, and ask for their advice on how to improve your performance
2. Ask to see the reference, so you know what they say, if the verbal warning & what led to it is in the reference, take step 3
3. Ask to see the admissions officer or tutor at the uni and give your side of things

In my organisation, you cannot appeal against an informal verbal warning and you don't have to be given any notice, unlike the rest of the disciplinary procedure. It stays on the record for 6 months, then vanishes, unless something else happens in which case the rest of the disciplinary procedure "proper" kicks in, with notice, right of accompaniment etc.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

here are a few things you might consider doing
1. I wouldn't be able to do that without getting defensive. Its made harder that the person who has caused this does a lot of things wrong but the boss ignores it.
I will be ringing him soon to talk about it more though, I really do need to.0 -

If you know for certain it would be useful to tell the op how you know, likewise if it's just your opinion you should say so.0
