Our window handles poke into the room (as presumably do most people's?!) so do you have to have the screen detached slightly when the window is closed to leave space for the handles, and then reattach it to the velcro on the frame after you open the window?
Our cats are allowed outside but we don't let them out the front due to the road, so at the moment we aren't opening the downstairs front windows which means we can't really get much of a draft through to cool the house
Hi,
Our screens have velcro on the side that the hinge is on (opposite side to the handle) and then magnetic strips on the frame next to the handles. The velcro is permanently attached and the magnetic strips are only used when the window is open. So, when the window is closed the screen rests against the hndles, butare still attached to one side by the velcro. Almost like a door.
I'm sure I've described that hopelessly, but maybe it will help.0 -
Lidl's sold them last year, you could measure the mesh screen to fit the window then out the double sided tape around and fix the mesh on, not always easy but worked and stopped my cats from getting out the front window! failing that I have seen ones for car windows for dogs...

i got some of the lidl flyscreen last year but it was no match for my rather heavy an determined cat! this is why this year i have ordered the proper cat screens that are reinforced.missmontana wrote: »Lidl's sold them last year, you could measure the mesh screen to fit the window then out the double sided tape around and fix the mesh on, not always easy but worked and stopped my cats from getting out the front window! failing that I have seen ones for car windows for dogs...
