Problem with neighbours

I feel sorry for both parties here, for the OPs mum cos of the noise and also for the neighbour. If she had been told the flat came with a garden she might have bought it for that reason. Who wouldn't want a garden if they have a young child? Poor little boy, surrounded by adults and having no garden to play in. Might as well lock him in his room all day and have done with. I dread to think of what this is doing to his social skills. He is the true victim of this sorry tale. I hope it all gets sorted soon.:A I love MSE!!! :A0

Thats no reason to be nasty to the OP's mum. It is not the mum's fault the neighbour was told the wrong thing and it was not the OP's mum who abused the facility that was there. If the lady had been a good and considerate neighbour, the problem wouldn't have arisen.0 -

Sorry kittykate, but are you really suggesting that the absence of a garden to play in really equates to being locked in a room all day? Or that it will have a dreadful effect on the child's social skills? I simply can't see where you are coming from with thatHundreds of thousands, no probably millions, of people have grown up over the years without a garden of their own and have managed to develop into perfectly well rounded individuals.
The garden belongs to the OP's mother and as such is hers to do with as she wishes.0
