Hello everyone,
I am really looking forward to meeting some (or all) of you next Saturday, so we need to decide what we are doing.
I suggested cafe pop, but that is down a flight of stairs, so might not be ideal for anyone who has mobility difficulties.
Does anyone else have any suggestions of things they would really like to do?
I have pm'd everyone who replied originally (I think). Even if just three or four of us met up it would be a good meet.
It's very late so I'm off to bed. I have visitors tomorrow but will check this thread as soon as I can afterwards.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Hi OSers
We had a brilliant MSE Arms meet in Manc last Saturday (31st July), 30 of us showed up in the end!
If anybody is wondering about a venue, we were upstairs in the Cafe Rouge in the Printworks. It's a bit on the expensive side, but has great views and - more importantly - was empty! That's because everybody seems to use the ground floor & terrace of the Cafe Rouge, nobody realises that the 3rd floor is also open! We then moved onto the Moon under Water (Deansgate), getting rather wet en route.
Regrettably due to a personal issue (to do with Andrew) I won't be able to join you on that particular date. But I hope you all have a lovely meet!
PS. Arms meets have now been organised for Glasgow, Blackpool (October) & Liverpool, if anybody fancies coming along!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I agree it doesnt matter if there are only a few of us, lots of us are short of cash and have other commitments to deal with. I will be there with my safety pin on my lapel ! Will have a think today of somewhere to meet, I imagine Piccadilly would be best as its near the train station and buses?Clearing the junk to travel light

Come on folks, where are you?
Ginnyknit, at this rate it might only be me n' thee, but I'd be willing to cycle up to your neck of the woods and go somewhere local if that's the case. (Foraging around the reservoir? - we could knit our own containers in advance :rotfl: )Aspire not to have more but to be more.

I will try to remember to bring it with me if we end up meeting in the city centre. Mine's the little Collins Gem version. Sadly I don't think we could live entirely off foraged wild food in the UK but it could certainly supplement our diets.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Thanks for the pm, smileyt, unfortunately, I just got back from a wee break at Legoland this morning and am a bit skint. I hadn't seen the thread and thought the meet was still a wee bit off, I am so sorry! I will still be interested in a meetup in future though
Hope you all have a lovely time. X
