There is an MSE Arms meet-up in Manchester on 31 July (sticky in the Arms forum), old-stylers are very welcome as we're not limiting attendees to just us gabby and non-moneysaving folk in the Arms. You never know, you might teach us something!

Oh I didn't realise that - I never venture into the MSE Arms! I'll check out that thread.

What do other Old-Stylers think? Merge or separate?

NB I'm not trying to start a fight between Old-Stylers and MSE Arms-ers!

I can't manage the Arms meet, but I might make a special effort to come down for a Manchester Old Style meet, I have a few friend I might be able to catch up with at the same time! :D

Hmmmm. I think those that want to, can go to the Arms meet. I think I'll stick with trying to organise an Old Stylers meet for another date to give people the option of coming to that too.

We could identify each other by carrying either a bottle of white vinegar or a box/bag of soda crystals :rotfl:

I cannot make it to the other meet so I will stick to this one if thats ok? August sometime is good for me- anyone else got a date in mind. Theres also an awfully large number of them which is quite daunting!

Hello everyone. I dont post too often but i visit OS almost daily and follow the topics. I would love to join in the gathering if it doesn`t happen during work time. Cant possibly take any time off because I`m being made redundant soon so every penny earnt is vital.

OK, so, would a Saturday in August in Manchester suit people? Not the Bank Holiday though as I'll be involved in the Pride stuff for my foster son. Unless people want to come and watch the Pride parade? It's free :rotfl: Very MSE! Manchester City Centre will be very busy on that day though.

Sounds good to me. Although apparently the Old Style badge of recognition is a safety pin on your lapel!
